2-years after the old 28” iMac panel I was using died, I got my DIY digital picture frame back up and running thanks to a nice discontinued 27” IPS monitor on clearance. I forgot how much we liked sitting on the sofa watching memories cycle through.

Had a package coming today via FedEx that I needed for work tomorrow. Watched the FedEx truck pull up to the end of my driveway, stop for 5 seconds then drive off. Then got this email:

Luckily by "Ate" I mean completely chewed up/shredded, and didn't actually swallow it.. but I did not need another thing to fix right now..🫠 All 4 of our passports were in a zip-top baggie on the counter. Thankfully he only chewed the one up (Finite Jr, Mrs. Singularity, and mine were untouched)

Riding on a relatively rural road in Wisconsin. No speed limit signs since we got on the road. Apple Maps shows it is 25mph, Google Maps shows 35mph, and Wayze shows 55mph. 🤷‍♂️

The more I ponder what Mary said here, I think it is VERY important for those who don't like this EVEN IF YOU DON'T STREAM and want to send a message to Amazon on where the Twitch community falls in the genAI discussion to go in their settings and turn this off. There is something so magical about connecting outside sources to a stream. Some of my favorite stream setup projects have been where I am connecting third-party services or even physical objects (with an API) to the stream.

I mean, I kind of have to agree.. Its a win-win.

100%. And just so we're all clear on it.. my tier 2 emote of "robo ollie" was not AI. It was photoshopped (a terminator head 'shopped onto a photo of Ollie's face, and poorly at that). (looking through my emotes for the first time in years, I saw this one might look AI as well)

Thanks for reminding me this (one single) emote exists. It was made the week after Midjourney came out. I honestly haven't even thought about it since a week or two later, and now knowing what I know about how image generation works, I'll be taking it down.
