yeah, some people atleast Try with their online listings,, I've seen some pretty in-depth listings from just Some Guy but now we're in the era of everyone just throwing their description writing to plagiarism hallucination machine 9000 and it sucks

no yeah you right i might just have a bad track record with the wholesale kinda refurber

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 11h

yeah, or they looked at it for a bit went "good enough" and sent it out the door x3 it's the lack of transparency that annoys me, the phone refurb industry is generally ass. I've worked in it myself x3

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 11h

i honestly kinda hate refurbished as a term it just means it met Some Guys undisclosed standards and maybe got wiped down with a damp cloth

010

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 11h

yeah believe me I've worked customer service jobs a While the average person makes me want to kill myself refurbished is just a vague term, checking reviews of the individual seller (on an external site if possible, idr trust storefront reviews) is 90% of the work to not get fucked over

only if you listen to femtanyl katamari in return /j (my car is in danger does fuck though :3)

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 11h

yeah !! plus most secondhand sites have pretty based customer service these days at the very least eBay has been very in my favour in the past,, even for phones that show up network locked when sold as unlocked -w-

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 14h

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 14h

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 14h

I forget the exact wording but see if there's a way around it in accessibility settings or something, on screen power button would be better than nothing,, maybe combine w doubletap to wake :3

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 14h

yeah,,, I only had to ditch my Nord 5 because it got lost along about 15mi between my friends and home, and nobody's seemingly found it in the last month or so. go look for it if you get desperate x3 /j

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 15h

femtanyl is just being kicked in the shins repeatedly (verbally) while also listening to a fucking 10/10 bop kinda like kikuo but somehow also nothing like kikuo at the same time

010

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 16h

best of luck !! tip that always helped me is try to stick to open source apps where you can cause SO MANY APPS now are just utter slopcode (bsky included)

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 16h

wiring up those 2 pads to a light switch for the world's worst power button

110

prawo jazdy @ezzera.bsky.social · 16h

oh that's less fun. that looks like a "you basically strip the phone to swap this" part

the "you can't avoid AI, it's in all software now" argument might be true for infrastructure, where we have limited agency over the platforms and systems that make up our society, but is hilariously untrue for video games, a completely optional and easily ignored part of all of our lives
