So, we did finally get more info about Marvel Tokkon's DLC roster after EVO France. Very interesting lineup. I always enjoy seeing lady Thor. Not really a themed team. It almost is, but Jubilee kinda ruins the cosmic team thing. (unless there is something about Jubilee that I don't know)

The change to how you get legendaries by crafting wasn't a horrible idea, but you needed to grind materials for days to stay up to date on the power creep or get left behind by folks who would. Also, the covenant system was flawed. Pick a faction that represents your RP? sounds cool in theory

3. Gameplay mechanics were... bad. The main system in place was a fun rougelike tower mode in the beta. Afterwards, they balanced it to make it more fair and took away the fun. At release, it was just a grindy borefest that you had to do each day to get materials to make your legendaries.

Also, how she was manipulated was very much against her character and was about a boy. The jailer tricked her by stealing Nathanos's soul and saying "Your destined by fate to never be together in death, isn't that stupid? we should break death to make it... better"

2. It was the Sylvanus story, but it only served to turn her into a pawn for the Jailer to handwave her evil schemes throughout the previous expansions. She attempted a genocide on a group of people and slaughtered many more, but its ok cause the Jailer made her do it.

Its a 3 fold problem. 1. The story was weak. Like.. horrendously weak. The villain the Jailer had been retconned to be behind every single bad thing that has ever happened in the series before. The Jailer did it. Doesn't matter what it was, The Jailer had set it up everything from the beginning.

Key word, hurts. as in it still does. To this day. And this isn't something I can just turn off. Its a condition that was hammered into me as a kid and it's never gone away. So imagine how hurt I am when I realize I'll never own a home, even rent my own place, or find a job that will respect me

What sucks is this continued humiliation ritual and self loathing that comes with everything attached to be rejected without ever having a shot. I've mentioned it before, but I have Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria. My whole childhood acceptance and love was conditional on being good enough.

I'm of the opinion its too slow because a team fighter with a small roster is not exactly exciting or engaging for folks, and given this games struggle to seemingly keep people interested (myself included) one new character doesn't feel like enough. At least the character has alot of extras

yes, fighting games are used to this kind of release schedule. The problem is from a normal gamer perspective, its too slow, especially when folks can look over at SNK and see they have had 1 character a month and are adding 12 over the year, all with a similar level of quality.
