AI bros conflate talent with skill and try to make it ableist to hate genAI. To the ableist whistle blowers, I have one response. Joni Eareckson Tada. Do your homework. Anyone can make art. It's a developed skill. Talent is just a starting point.

I personally struggle to make hands that aren't some kind of talon, but if you give me a good picture of a torso or a face, I can usually make a passable version of it after looking at it for five to twenty minutes. Hands? Skill. The rest? Talent. Big difference.

The artist of My Hero Academia has insecurities related to his art. He struggles to draw necks without making them too long. That's why so many of his characters have a collar on their outfits that covers the neck. He has to work to make his necks look natural. That's a skill he has to work on.

People born with a talent are predisposed to an easier start developing that talent into a skill. That doesn't mean they have an advantage. That means they have an easier start. They may still run into things that are hard to do, and then they have to develop that skill through PRACTICE.
