Macron is right. Britain can't pick and choose the EU's freedoms. Freedom of Movement isn't the obstacle to rejoining. It's one of the greatest reasons to rejoin. The freedom to live, work, study, love and retire across Europe belongs to every generation. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/s...

For ten years, we've been asking questions about Russian interference in Brexit. Now the Prime Minister says he was told it happened. Our friends across Europe deserve to know how hostile powers tried to undermine our democracy. www.itv.com/news/2026-10...

What opportunities do we want the next generation to inherit? The freedom to study, work, travel and build a life across Europe should be part of their future. Let's make it possible again. Support the European Movement's campaign: www.europeanmovement.co.uk/heart-of-eur...

The evidence I have comes from a former Conservative MP and I have no reason not to believe her. But suppose May shared the evidence of Putin’s role with her Cabinet, and they nonetheless approved the Notification Letter which she signed on 29 March 2017 ?

Joshua Silver @eyejosh.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
David Wolchover has written that the decision was Wednesbury unreasonable, if I recall correctly. Indeed, the process to prosecute May for Misconduct in Public Office was begun , but then put on hold when she was removed from office - apparently with help from Putin’s people in the UK …

And that would then open the way to ask if May had told the Cabinet that she had been officially informed by the relevant authorities that Russian interference and money had rendered the Referendum vote not free and fair …

Why not ask the Cabinet Office for a full record of the meeting of Cabinet which approved the text of Mrs May’s Article 50 Notification Letter of 29 March 2017. This presumes that May would have shared the draft Letter and said something like - “ here we are lads and lassies , here is the Letter

Wasn’t it May who made the actual decision ? The fact that the Cabinet Office won’t confirm that is astonishing. Makes you wonder what there is to hide - might it be the Formal Advice to May before she decided to write the Notification Letter ? Interesting to read her opening sentence…

Don’t be ridiculous. There are more remainers in England than any other part of the UK. Scotland is literally riddled with leave voters. And besides, leaving the EU was a government decision. Nothing to do with voters.

Walmart spent $43.4B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2025, enough to give each of its 2.1M workers annual bonuses of $2,953. Last year, retiring CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $29.2M — his largest payday ever and 958x Walmart's median worker pay of $30,520. Textbook corporate greed.

The Prime Minister has a clear duty to consider the consequences of their decisions. If they neglect that duty to such an extent that it amounts to abuse of the public's trust, then that is a criminal offence. Cameron is clearly guilty of that, and May is clearly guilty of that.

Establishing that there was foreign interference or malfeasance in some way could make rejoining the EU more politically acceptable in the UK and EU27. So I think it’s quite important to establish whether or not it is relevant here.

It's significant because if May issued the A50 notification in the knowledge that Russia had bought the referendum, then she has misconducted herself, and the decision to leave is unlikely to meet our constitutional requirements.

We have to wonder whether the new “Hillsborough” Act , when it becomes law , will require May to explain truthfully exactly why she Notified Article 50 after she had been advised to run the vote again but without Russian interference .

Thank you Andrew. In summary , May was aware that “Russian interference and money” had rendered the 2016 Referendum vote “not free and fair” BEFORE she decided to Notify Article 50 on 29 March 2017

Dozens of gas-burning power plants are being built across the country, solely to power data centers. These plants could emit as much planet-warming pollution as half of all passenger vehicles in the entire country in a single YEAR. We need a data center moratorium — now.

The cause of global warming is capitalism. Private companies constantly prioritize short-term gains to satisfy investors. This is why China is now able to cut its emissions at a much faster pace than Western countries: the state still has power over corporations.
