Good morning, and happy Saturday 😎🚬☕️ Rather foggy here this morning, but it matches the dizziness of the nicotine rush from today's first cigarette well. Soon a cup of Monsoon Malabar and the day is starting. Is there even a better way to start a Saturday? 🐦🌁

I promised to share a clip of the stop motion animated music video for "Half a Mind", so here it is. (The song(🎧) is out tomorrow and the video will be released on the 25th.)

Half a Mind (Sneak preview)

Excerpt from music video for "Half a Mind".The song is about the crippling apathy and lack of energy that often accompanies a depression. Song's out on Frida...

Since there's no video, I'd like to share some still photos from the coming animated music vid for "Half a Mind". The song is out this Friday, and video's out on August 25th.

Three still pictures from an animated music video.Top picture: Rain.A grey, withered tree, a red apartment building with black windows. An agitated plastilina man in blue sweater and green pants. Left picture: Rain. The same man in front of the red building underneath a lamp post, spilling blue light. Right picture: Rain.Same man in front of the withered tree and the red building.

The coming music video is starting to look like a bit like a horror movie😱Here's the protagonists expression when waking up with his eyes missing...

Pink flesh colored plastilina head of a frightened man with mouth gaping and red eyesockets where his eyes used to be. Album cover of "Half a Mind" single also shown, with drawn eyeballs.

Looks like I'm ready to animate the "Half a Mind" music vid🎧 Just finished background #art for the final scene with the eyes resting on the, admittedly, a bit "cubist" grand piano...

Cut out drawing of a grand piano, attached to a green paper background. Two eyeballs, white with black pupils with red nerves made of clay rest on top of the grand piano.

Good afternoon!☕️😎 Slow midweek day... I was burning the midnight oil last night, caught up in making the some #art for "Half a Mind" claymation vid, and now energy's a bit low. Really got to avoid those late nights🥱

Clay figure with bald and big head and big protruding eyes and a forlorn face expression. Dressed in a lightblue sweater, green pants and wearing black shoes.

I really like Inkscape for graphics! After faffing about for a few hours, I'm getting close to the merch look for August single, "Half a Mind". Why eyeballs? Last verse reads: "One time I woke up strange/From the darkest dream/I found my eyes resting on a grand piano/I scooped them up as I leave"

Cartoon drawing of two red eyeballs resting on top of a black rectangle that reads 'Half a Mind" in pink letters. Dark blue background.

I wanted to introduce the drummer for the coming single, "Half a Mind" - Dr. Rhythm from BOSS DR 220 A. This ancient thing had been laying around for ages, and I finally sampled the drum sounds.🎧Luckily, the sound fits the hip hop inspired beat pretty well.

Afternoon😎☕️I hope you've had a good day! Kinda slow motion here today with windy, grey and cold weather. Took forever, but I managed to put together the background for a scene in vid for 'Half a Mind".

Drawing of a grey, withered tree against a black background. Red buildings with black windows and doors are to the right of the tree. A black lamp-post stands near the right.

Was away on a bit of a local road trip today. The most interesting happening (besides cake) was probably finding this motive of a puddle. Pretty, pretty low-key day of excitement😂

Pic from inside a car, looking out over the dashboard. A blue sky with clouds are mirrored in a large puddle along with a yellow house. All upside down. A white car, a red car and to green busses can be seen above the puddle.

Managed to finish the album #art for the August single🎧today. It's a song about the apathy/indecision one can experience when caught up in melancholy. The music's quite dark and quite trippy😎 (Yes, those are eyeballs...)

A blue sky and a grey cloud with a face blowing on a tree so it bends. The tree has a light brown trunk and green foliage. Green leaves flutter on the breeze. There's a grey rocky ground in front of the tree.

Dark blue gargoyle made from clay, painted with acrylic paint. Wings made from painted paper. White horns, white fangs and red eyes. It proudly stands on a coconut. It was made for a lyrics video for tune, "One Last Time".

I was trying to find a summer vibe song & here's the closest. A tune about a trip (not exactly microdosing), inspired by the Doors. Some slide guitar and Vox organ in the choruses, where the summer resides☀️😎 open.spotify.com/track/6VlB8yjzW9gN…

Art work for 'One Last Time'.

Working on a track written by @gianpaolofontani.net and I keep hearing a slide guitar in my mind... So, better locate my fave slide, the brass one at the front in this old pic. The Ariel Posen signature one from Rock slide is the first I didn't have to modify with foam or cork to fit!

Good morning. It feels like a bass kind of day, so here is my replica Rickenbacker. Love this thing. I especially like that it got adjustable string dampening at the bridge. Great for dialing in that "dead" thump. Enjoy your ☕️ and have a great day!

Studio porn posting: Feel free to share your studio pics, I'm always curious to see other ppls setups! Here' a pic from when the music studio was relatively uncluttered. Now it's much worse and I'm trying hard to rethink the organization of it, as it's hardly ergonomic.😉

Cluttered music desk. PC monitor loading Cubase takes most of the background. To the right back is a coaxial monitor from Fluid. Further to the right is an orange glowing led strip.
Left center is an APILunchbox 500 with some audio modules. To the right of it lays a Canon camera and some notebooks.
In the front is a Novation Bass Station II. On it's right a PC mouse rests on a neon orange notebook.

Been thinking I want a stop-animation music video to go with the release of 'Cranial Worms'. It's time consuming work, but quite fun. (Pictured is the half-finished figures of my collaborators, Frankie&RikiAbi, from the previous animated vid)

Two figures made from plastilina. One man with a pink cap, black sunglasses with a blue body and one man with black sunglasses, a goatee and green body. They don't have hands or legs, since it was before their completion.

Finally the master for 'Cranial Worms' is ready for uploading to aggregators. A song about corruption, narcissism, and the will to dominate others... (Pic is a tentative attempt at the cover art)

Comic style drawing of tall colorful buildings in psychedelic ink. A purple squidlike creature with one eye is perched on a skyscraper with tentacles coiled around it. A temple building is in the foreground, inside where stands a figure dressed in a cyan coat, with a shark fin hat and a cone like nose. Some one-eyed cranial worms, purple and pink are also pictured. There's a comet against an indigo nightly in the background.

B-movie inspired song, 'Cranial Worms' ready for mastering... It's about inter-terrestrial worms turning ppl into worms, so basically a metaphor for how power corrupts. "You are degenerating/Cranial Worms/You are disintegrating/You are being corrupted/Cranial Worms/You are slowly mutated"

Drawing of a pink/orange/violet worm with a human head. The head has yellow hair and scared eyes. Instead of mouth it is a reptilian eye.

Still some time left to noodle around on the guitar... Sometimes I think the blue light in h&k's tube amp is cool af, while other times if feels kinda like a circus. 🤡 Really useful amp, though. 2 channels of dirt and 1 clean. My fave amp, so far🎸🎶🤘

Nearing a finished mix of the B-movie inspired 'Cranial Worms'. "They came from the center of the world/To take over/They're here to gnaw into our brains/To take over/They're here to take control" Luckily, they are quite tiny, so can easily be squashed under a boot as pictured... 😈🪱🫰
