libudev1 library borked in my ad-filtering Raspberry Pi at home and it really gave me quite a scare... (it's fixed now, don't worry)

Aldo + Cetie + Gariyu + Feinne/Mariel with Gariyu's proof is extremely fun lol (if risky in terms of defense) It's like the rest of them making sure (s)Gariyu can go wild with his pyromaniac tendencies(/s) to keep him within check and actually hit the right target lol #clae_aeb

Finished the final boss for New Game+ of Another Eden Begins (not posting the screenshot here because accidental spoiler lol). Can finally give my verdict for the story. 11/10. PURRFECTION. Very much trademark Masato Kato's wild ride. ESPECIALLY also as fan of Chrono Cross.

Okay, finally finished the boss battle from the Sands of Time collection ..... ............... .......................... 😭😭😭😭😭😭 #clae_aeb

............I won't get into how a certain parallel time layer character also ended up ruining her original's established character. I don't care other fans see her as pitiable, tragic, or even *cute*. Begins' kinship reminds me further why I love the original BUT absolutely hate her parallel.

clae @exclaebur.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Hmm, I was extremely cautious about the bonding/kinship system in Begins at first, but now that I see how I fit into the lore (at least for *this* version of Aldo, as suggested in a certain event in NG+), I am actually glad it is developed as it is.

So basically, in Begins, Aldo's role is practically *****************************************************?

me, after a certain event in early New Game+ and subsequently recalling all other characters I have maximum Kinship/bond with: "...yeah, Cetie really is a real piece of work (who is incredibly bad at admitting his feeling of trust/closeness) (lol)" #clae_aeb

Personally, despite the time-travel premise seemingly makes it similar to Chrono Trigger on surface, I am in the opinion that Another Eden (both the original and Begins) is MUCH closer to Chrono Cross in terms of themes and vibes. I can yap A LOT about this, seriously.

Hmm, I probably need to replay Sands of Destruction/World Destruction too. Wish I could remember more about the battle system (I played it while I was in university), but I vaguely remember it resembled AE's certain mechanics.

Currently drafting my extremely long-winded [s]review[/s] yapping for Another Eden Begins because I NEED people to understand that it's not simply "a non-gacha version of Another Eden", but also a perfected form of Masato Kato's past works.

The character quests being voiced (at least for JP) in Another Eden Begins really adds the charm. Can't stop laughing at Yuna's first character quest -- she really sounds loopy AND pissed. #clae_aeb

Spending all night trying to make Breath of Fire IV run on my CachyOS installation... had to use protontricks Using gamescope technically works well and fixes the Alt-Tab problem.... EXCEPT for the fact I can't get Steam Overlay to run using gamescope AT ALL. So protontricks it is.

Anyway I'm playing on Linux and it works perfectly so far (unlike the original game which is borked by kernel-level anti cheat), so fingers crossed this will work well on SteamOS/Steam Deck too. #AnotherEden #AnotherEdenBegins
