I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day - i'll give like a 4/10 or something. I'd give it a 5 but I've never rated a show I've dropped so it has to be better than those. Shikimori was a 5 iirc so this can be a 4.

I compare it unfavourably to Carameliser. That show was also focused on a romance but managed to put a decent amount of focus on the circumstances of the world and the side characters. It can also be unfavourably compared to Lycoris Recoil which is a show where action is actually shown on screen.

much only exist for the sake of this EXTREMELY OBVIOUS doomed yuri thing where they spend an entire episode making it super obvious she was going to get murked. It got to the point I was more annoyed than sad, and because the characters were entirely incidental apart from the fact they were in love-

Okay time to talk about this. I dropped "I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day" and I wanna complain. Firstly it's got such a small cast which is good for an idiot like me with bad memory but is a detriment to establishing scale when the setting is a whole school with like hundreds of pupils.

One Piece 1-181 - WAN PEEEEEEEEECE! My friend finally convinced me to start watching this in fear of getting the One Piece reveal spoilt so I've been watching this for the last couple months. It's pretty good I see why so many people have latched onto this. Chopper is my favourite.

Youjo Senki S2 - Pretty good, I'm glad the Sonzai X stuff was kept to a minimum so they could just focus on the World War 1.5 stuff. I may have enjoyed this more than S1 but that could be because I'm older and more able to relate to the idea of everyone in power being fucking idiots. - 7/10

SubsPlease accidentally put some period yaoi anime up for Youjo Senki S2 episode 11 instead of the actual episode and I got 10 minutes into it (1 hour in Exceed time), before i decided that this definitely wasn't a bit and someone just fucked up.

It's interesting that RId's name is announced by the driver even though he was just given that codename on a whim. This is part of the issue I have with jingles that announce the rider's name.

It's weird that Yani Neko is kind of in the lower half of interesting characters in her own show. Interesting might be the wrong word but I feel like the fact she's the default vessel for a lot of jokes makes her characterisation more haphazard.

Now, MOVIES get a different rating for some reason. In my head 5 stars isn't equivalent to 10 points. For me points are like scores on a test so 10/10 is perfect, but stars are tiers, so 5 star is just the top tier not necessarily perfect. 5 - Great 4 - Good 3 - Meh 2 - Bad 1 - Awful

10 is probably unreachable for any show cause it'd have to be so perfect as both a show, and as entertainment for me specifically, that a more competent and motivated version of me would've had to be making it. Because of that this will essentially never be used, like 1-3.

9s are basically 8s but that really appeal to me in some way. While this whole rating system is biased, usually 9s have become significant to me due to things that have happened in life (New Game!), or are simply 8s chocked full of shit that I fuckin love. (Lycoris Recoil).

8s are the highlight of my week. Every single time an episode comes out I go to watch that as soon as possible. There is rarely a boring moment for me in these shows and every episode feels like an event. If you talk to me regularly you'll almost certainly hear about it a lot.

If a show gets a 7.5 (High 7) then it's just a good show, full stop. The show is consistently entertaining, usually not particularly exceptional but it's good at what it's trying to do and stays interesting the whole way through. I can easily recommend anything at least this high.

7 (Previously "Low 7") is where I start recommending shows. These shows are pretty enjoyable all around but still may have some flaws. This score exists for shows that just manage to scrape out of 6 but that I still want to make distinct from the ones above. Sometimes this can just be bias picks.

A 6 is a show that's decent. It's the best type of show I probably still wouldn't recommend to someone. I usually have good times with 6s but they don't give me enough back to really justify me advising people to give it a try, usually due to taking a while to get interesting.

If i give an anime a 5 it's because it consistently bored me and had multiple episodes that felt like a chore to get through. 5s can still have good characters and moments but if it falls behind the minimum of engagement multiple times it's going here.

4 is essentially the same as 1-3 but it actually has some entries like the MHA Smiley OVA and Scared Riders Xechs. Literally only watched the latter cause i saw that it had the word rider in it and i stuck with it no matter how bored I was because i was that big an idiot.

One of the saddest things about Yani Neko is that Beastfolk fetishisation is so widespread that even when you see characters who genuinely seem to sympathise and care for them, you can never truly know how much of that is just altruism and how much is horniness.

The Green Book - This is the first book I've read in a while, first piece of political theory I've read ever, and it's mega ass. Part 1/2 are basically "What if we do socialism but I fixed it by asserting that only my way is democratic", and then Part 3 is "If you pay to watch sports you're a cuck."

Kaiju Girl Carameliser - I usually don't get invested in fictional romances at all so this was a big surprise. Got a bit shaky with episode 10's 2nd half; It's attempt to up the tension felt sloppy, but was in service of a very satisfying payoff and a cool kaiju battle, so I can let it slide. 8/10
