33. COSMIC PRINCESS KAGUYA I've always loved the Tale of the Bamboo cutter for some reason, and the Tale of the Princess Kaguya is my favorite Ghibli movie. So when I heard there was a modern retelling that was also Yuri... Made for me. I love this movie dearly. I cried so much watching it.

32. GOODBYE LARA Sayonara Lara. I really enjoyed this one, Lara is cute. I know it has controversy over whether or not it is queerbait but I'm more of a journey > ending kinda person so I appreciate it for what it is. Make the art you wanna see in the world.

31. MESMALIE Everyone should play this. It's short but the writing is very fun and the art and story are excellent. It inspires me to make something. It's just really good I'd let Mesmer do whatever she wants to me,,,

30. GO FOR A PUNCH! SAKI SANOBASHI The original post and subsequent lost media hunt for the Deep Web 80s Horror Anime is my favorite piece of Internet Lore. The dedication to it is what fascinates me. I remembered someone made a VN based on it, so I played it. it's fine. Short & does its job.

29. OBSESSION Very creepy and unsettling. I enjoyed this a lot. Gonna be thinking about it for a while. I don't really have a lot to say tbh? At least in this thread. It's good.

28. SAYA NO UTA In the midst of me playing through a couple of very long VNs, I spent a day finally playing this one after hearing so much about it. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a masterpiece like some but it was good, disturbing, horror and had a moving ending.

27. SUPER DANGANRONPA ANOTHER 2 Yeah this shit is incredible. If you like the main series I highly recommend the Another fangames. Recency Bias sure but I'd put this higher than some of the main ones even. Definitely the best ending of any Danganronpa I've played. Also female protag. Just saying.

26. DELTARUNE BUT AGAIN I replayed the entire game so I could experience the weird route myself. Anyways I'm throwing up. Horrible. Awful. I love it. It's great.

25. DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 Aqua. That is all. (ok but every new chapter keeps becoming my new favorite chapter how does this man keep doing it)

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

24. DANGANRONPA ANOTHER Hear me out. I am excited for 2x2 but it is a ways away, and then I remembered fangames exist. I heard SDRA2 (the sequel to this) is like, highly regarded, so I played this first. It's good! Despite barely being translated at all. I do recommend tho. I love the clown girl.

23. WITCH HAT ATELIER I'm obsessed with this I love them all dearly. I need to read the manga right now, I need to know what happens, I'm dying over here. I am adopting Coco

22. THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS I actually saw the finale in theaters. This show did things to me man. I won't post spoilers but god I have so much to say. Anyways Gangle and Zooble are my favorites :3

21. BEASTARS This one's pretty good. I watched it back when season 3 part 1 dropped and then promptly forgot everything between then and season 3 part 2. Idk why they didn't just call it season 4 and start with a recap but oh well. I don't really have a lot to say other than I love legoshi and haru

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 02/06/2026

20. OF THE DEVIL Holy shit this game is incredible. Do yourself a favor, play the free chapter 0, because it will Hook You once you finish it. Been wanting a game like this for ages. It scratches so many itches. I'm also gay and love Morgan. Now I must wait patiently for episode 3...

19. STEINS;GATE 0 Started with the anime this time. I liked it a lot! I think I like the original a little more still but the plot of this one was interesting too and I liked a lot of the Themes. I like the new characters for the most part. You do once again need high Anime BS tolerance tho.

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

18. FRIEREN SEASON 2 God I just love these blorbos. The season is short, especially compared to 1, but I trust them. I don't have a lot to say here either tho lmao. It's good but I'm sure at the end of the series it'll be like "oh yeah season 2, I forgot about that one" Not bad tho

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

17. INVINCIBLE SEASON 4 Shit is getting real. I don't have much to say other than this is peak and even though I've been fatigued from super hero media for years now, this is my exception. uh, I don't have a funny title card drop joke this time. I'm tired. Go watch-

"Okay Wario. Once Mario gets the sixth golden coin, he's going to show up to fight you. All you need to do is wear a spike on your head so he can't jump on you, and then if he has a fire flower, you just have to hit him once."

Kit Gameoverse talking to Wario in Tomodachi Life

16. STEINS GATE MOVIE I have like, a lot to say about this one for a movie that I ultimately thought was Okay. Like it wasn't bad, but I don't think it stands on its own well, and there are some... odd choices. But I do love kurisu and I love when female leads become the focus.

this is what it is like to play Mother 3

15. PAQUERETTE DOWN THE BUNBURROWS Random pull, but this is a cute little puzzle game with fun mechanics and hidden depth that rivals perhaps my favorite puzzle game of all time, Baba is You. I haven't done everything there is to do, but I did reach the credits (sooner than I was supposed to)

100

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

14. STEINS;GATE BUT ITS THE ANIME THIS TIME Again, very good. I understand they had to cram a 40ish hour visual novel into like a 9 hour anime or whatever, so the pacing is kind of rough, but hey it's still quite good and I see why it is so popular. I like it a lot, in spite of some of its flaws.

Left is first drawing I did on my own ipad in 2024, right is from 3 months ago. It's truly never too late to start. And even now I see a bunch of things I'd want to do differently were I to visit this again. Just Draw! I believe in you.

13. TOMODACHI LIFE HOMOSEXUAL SATANIC DYST- uh LIVING THE DREAM this is the game ever. It's a perfect little toybox for my OC dolls. I've been playing it nonstop. Sure a lot of the content gets repetitive after so many hours and I wish there was a bit more to do but also I love it so much anyways.

100

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 29/04/2026

12. POKOPIA I never put this in here? It's very good and it sucks away my time but I never finished it before a certain other game that sucks away my time came out. I'll get back to it at some pointttt

11. THE GUY SHE WAS INTERESTED IN WASN'T A GUY AT ALL Green Yuri. I'm gay. They're gay. Good for them. Very cute. I should read more yuri that isn't tragic or toxic. But I also love the toxic shit. Anyways I love these girls and the art is beautiful. I could say so much but I'm out of space so...

10. DAN DA DAN SEASON 2 This show is so goofy and fun I love it. Kind of obsessed with the way this season ended? I might have to go read the manga. Very good and I love every single character

9. OSHI NO KO SEASON 3 god it's so good... I'm crazy. I finished the manga already, but they have been doing a good job fleshing out the story this season. I'm not normal. Also like, anime opening of all time tbh.

8. GOODNIGHT PUNPUN jesus christ this one is hard to recommend, in fact probably don't read this if you are not in a good place mentally. But it's really good. It's an incredible read. Content Warning: everything

7. STEINS;GATE Played through this game with my friend over the course of about 2 months. It is certainly of its time and has a lot of problems you gotta get past- but I found it really enjoyable and was quite invested in the story!

6. MAGIC THE GATHERING This counts I got really into mtg starting with Lorwyn Eclipsed. I have nearly 1300 cards now and am too afraid to think about how much money I spent. But it's very fun and I love cards. Did you know I like cards, guys, cards are cool. I'm anxiously awaiting strixhaven.

4. IRON LUNG hello everybody my name is markiplier and I'm very tired. I'm gonna go into the ocean. And I'm going to..... fuck. This movie fucks. I really enjoyed it, even if it wasn't Mark I'd like it tbh. I won't say much more, go see it.

3. KUON Watched a friend play through this over the course of a year as we struggled to make time for it. Pretty good, this is the only fromsoft game I've ever experienced now. It might stay that way, we'll see. Anyways I thought it was cool

2. SHE RA this shit is fire, it's peak, I don't know what to tell you. I love them all, Catra is my meow meow, also Shadow Weaver is constantly aura farming. Idk why it took me so long to watch this. No notes, very good.

1. STRANGER THINGS When the finale came out I binged the whole think in 2 weeks. Here is my ranking of every season: 31452 1 is peak, 3 is just really fun, 4 A Plot is peak, Russia stuff is meh, 5 I liked but had issues, 2 I forget about but its not bad. That's my review, Robin is the goat

I forgot I played CHAOS ZERO NIGHTMARE when it came out. It was fun but I quickly realized that three gacha games is too much for me so I dropped it. It's also a liiiiitle jank, but it has infinite style points. Unfortunately the horses and the hoyo won for me.

DEAR SANTA is a movie that exists. My mom put it on. I liked Jack Black, it is enjoyable whenever he is on screen. However Idk who this movie is for. I think the writers just went "hah wouldn't it be funny if a dyslexic kid sent a letter to satan" and that was the extent of the thought put into it.

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 24/12/2025

I played VA-11 HALL-A with a friend. We did voices for the characters and it was fun. The game itself has a really good story, made me feel some things and think lots of things about life and all that. You know how it is.

This is a really random pull, but I am a huge fan of RPG Maker games, and oct14 is a very short and free experience with an associated blog, album, and ARG. It really resonated with me, check it out. If you wanna know the solution to the ARG uhh I guess reply. I didn't figure it out myself tho.

was gonna wait until I finished the true ending of SILKSONG before adding it but my opinion is probably going to remain the same. Anyways this is my GOTY. Hollow Knight was one of my favorite games and I think I like Silksong like 10x more. Yes it's hard, but that's ok I like that. Peak

100

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

I forgot to add KIRBY AIR RIDERS, but this game is peak and everything I wanted. I can't even really complain that the roguelike mode isn't really a roguelike because the fact that it exists is sick. City Trial is of course the main attraction and it's great, but I'll always be the one Top Ride fan.

110

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

the FNAF 2 movie was them jingling keys in front of fnaf fans and going "look! see? It's from the video game!" The plot was weird, contrived, and the ending pissed me off. But I do like me a freddy fazbear. It was fun.

Ember @exaltedember.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

HAZBIN HOTEL SEASON 2 was pretty good, I liked it. I like Charlie even if I spent most of the season wanting to shake her and yell what the hell are you doing. I like Nifty, I like angels
