Ok, but now im imagining this as a great story where zeus's own hubris leads him to getting trapped in the fae courts

Well youd need to also transport the money to support it

My current friend network is darci's polycule, none of whom drink and everyone is broke

Whats interesting is zeus is also the god of civilization and the social contract So do you think his own divine role would pressure him to play ball in fae courts?

This is why i really like Bruce Wayne Fugitive, because it plays with the idea of "if batman is this perfect and unbeatable... could you ever prove his innocents? Hes batman, he could absolutelu get away with this"

Which makes you wonder why Zeus is visiting the fae in the first place

Ooh, interesting idea I also like the idea that fae hate iron bc its so stanle, but also love radioactive minerals bc of their so unstable

question in greek and norse myths, a house that does not provide for a stranger will be punished by the gods for poor hospitality if you eat the food of the fae in their land, you will be their slave if Zeus visits the Fae, what happens?

considering the educational nature of Doctor Who, i think this is a perfect direction for the show

So if Lanterns is really getting another season and it sticks with the "True Detective" approach... is that it for live action Green Lantern adaptations? No new movie where John goes on a space adventure with the Corps? Just a "gritty and grounded" tv show? Great. Cool.

currently reading Black Lightning Year One. and while it makes major creative liberties by having Jeff and Lynn still be married with a kid at the start, im SHOCKED they kept this original detail from isabella's original run to have Talia team up with Jefferson. wow

page from black lightning year one with talia al ghul teaming up with black lightning

how is this different though from like the afro-brazilian slaves who practiced street fighting to defend themselves but disguised it as dancing? they also would have faced similar repercussions for "defending themselves". capoeira was even outlawed but preserved in records bsky.app/profile/exal...

like... you have ancient records keeping track of all your legal practices, cooking recipes, myths and legends, astrology and alchemy why are there no ancient jewish records of stick-fighting or knife-fighting?

010

Honey Ham - Commissions Open - Buy My Book @exaltedcomics.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

and like, it's not even a case of "oh, if we practiced martial arts, we'd get in trouble with the ruling class" Capoeira existed for this exact reason there are LOTS of martial arts involving sticks and unarmed combat across many cultures why isn't it the case in jewish communities?

yesterday i was having a conversation with @saintwalker98.bsky.social about this and im still confused why is Krav Maga the only "jewish fighting style"? you'd think for a people constantly persecuted and hunted for thousands of years, you'd have an organized fighting style to defend yourselves

My review process will involve going to all 16 locations and ordering 1 Hard Taco, 1 Steak Quesadilla, and 1 Burrito, at $13.25 an order this experiment will end up costing me $212, and that's JUST for the first wave of reviews. i plan on being VERY thurough

A huge pet peeve i have with modern movies is when they introduce a secondary villain but dont make them a foil to the protagonist's sidekick and let the sidekick kick his ass

I'm not anorexic. i 100% know i'm beautiful in my own way, but my goal is not to be pretty "for myself", it's to be pretty in a way that makes me money and helps me succeed in this world

I don't like it when people second guess my weight-loss journey. i don't need people trying to go "you don't need to be thin to be pretty" or anything like that when im actively trying to compete in a beauty-focused industry that caters specifically towards cis people.

cause the thing is with ygo, is while a deck might be strong enough to insta-kill 1 opponent with no interaction, you dont have the ability to take out multiple opponents all in 1 go, so you gotta be patient and react to your opponent more than plan your own actions

000

Honey Ham - Commissions Open - Buy My Book @exaltedcomics.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

i feel like ygo as a series has milked the 1v1 format as much as they can. they tried adding new summoning mechanics over and over again, but it doesn't work but with how much T0 interaction there is in YGO, i feel like a faster-paced multiplayer format is perfect to bring a new show

his rival is this smooth-talking poker guy who is an excellent judge of character and great at reading tells and tricks. he pushes the protagonist by exploiting his anti-social nature by getting other duelists to gang up on him for him
