fuck this entire fucking industry all my life i was told "women who strip are desperate and doing it to make some money" only to learn, no, i can't even make money as a stripper and i have literally zero career options. i cant even sell my body for a quick buck fuck my life

fml im seriously thinking i should just quit all of this

im not a "performer", i don't have motivation or energy to self-promote or work for myself pushing myself to do a job just because the job needs to be done. i don't have self-discipline for any of that

I was holding on some hope that maaybe once i started my fitness journey and reached my weight goal (which i did today, yippee, i weigh 156lb, havent weighed this much since HS) i'd start trying to apply for work as a stripper maybe and make some kind of paycheck. except now im learning that Strippers arent like waitresses where they make a shit paycheck and supplement it with tips, it's 100% tips, and not only that, they have to pay to rent the stage

how does the stripper industry even fucking stay afloat, this is a terrible business model. who would choose to do that? there's zero financial incentive to ever do that?

but now, at this point, the literal only career option for someone like me would be to sell my soul to some pimp or something which i'm not gonna do, so there's absolutely nothing for me whatsoever in this industry

I have a genuine question for other writers How do you convey this style of humor purely in prose? The idea of something utterly absurd happening but the joke really comes from how over the top the straight-men react to the absurdity? It feels like this only works in visual mediums
