It took me just a bit to get into but I really enjoyed this. The anti-Oldboy ending is strong as well.

Some stunning visuals and a supernatural element that didn’t need to be there.

I mean, what are we doing?

Some really horrible scenes with women but Garcia and Gere are both compellingly obsessed with each other.

An interesting set up, but it gets very silly very quickly.

I mean, this was scandalous when it came out but it’s a whole lot of twisty nonsense.

Not nearly weird enough

It’s funny watching fight scenes between a pair of doctors. So slow🤣

A fun, sleazy, dirty, and surprising one. A couple of much more explicit scenes than expected. Coming off some 90s trash the sex is definitely displayed differently than the traditional male gaze.

I mean one scene that was interesting for what it was, but this was a tough one for me. A brutal central performance from Caruso.

I mean it’s very silly, right? There were a few moments I thought worked well. The restaurant scene, particularly the older couple, and of course the commentary regarding privacy vs wanting to be watc...

State tax incentives should create and retain jobs for Californians, not subsidize corporate layoffs.

British kids are mean. Loved the ending.

Surprisingly quiet. It still managed to bring a tear to my eye a few different times. Damn what a bleak film.

A bit Korean history, a bit Rashomon. No wonder this is the film that really broke out Park Chan-wook. Pretty great film.

Really enjoyed this revenge tale. Pretty fantastic camera work and choreography. Dev Patel is quickly becoming a favorite for me.

Not as weird as I wanted it to be. A simple moral eventually but still a decent time.

Loved the dogs, the horse fight, and the majority of the set pieces. This felt very much like a video game scroller to me.

Pretty fun little movie. Like many in the 90s it does not have the best commentary towards certain groups of people (no spoilers).

Great fun. I love Jennifer Jason Leigh both then and now. What a talent.

Pretty classic heist film with a pair of stunning to look at leads, but these are hard to get emotionally invested in.

This and White Men Can’t Jump are prime “insecure Woody Harrelson”. Also that first act before they get to Vegas is BRUTAL.

It’s hard seeing yourself as the villain sometimes.

Sometimes simple metaphors are the most effective.

Solid film! Harrison Ford playing smug is always a good idea.

Some pretty ridiculous parts, particularly the wedding ring in the toilet, but both leads play their parts well.

Some interesting aspects but my goodness. This is the sort of film where I wish I still did the podcast because there is too much to say. Part cheese, part adult Home Alone, and it’s far too silly to ...

The Giants told fans exactly who they are on Friday.

An achievement to be sure, but I felt a surprising lack of engagement with the characters.

Oh golly, this is not nearly as smart as it thinks it is.
