@tadstones.bsky.social Curious. Did you retain any of the artwork or story bible from the Disney Robinhood show you developed?

One our psets for in Intro to CogSci, regarding if computers could have minds, had us watch Measure of a Man and respond. Part of an overall philosophy that Science Fiction, when good, can be superior in conveying real science to science news

Maybe its Fox thing? Naruto failed the ninja exam 3 times but is the same age as his classmates. The Simpson's are on Fox.

My take on the change, while binging the while thing, was that as they grew up the world and how they saw it became less cute and cartoony. They start in 1st grade right and then hit Simpson's perpetual age in 5th grade?

The latest edition of #PeriodicGraphics by @compoundchem.com explores the chemistry that makes friction-erasable pen ink appear and disappear: cen.acs.org/physical-che... #chemsky 🧪
Infographic titled “How do friction-erasable pens work?”. The pen ink contains microcapsules with a leuco dye, a weak organic acid color developer, and a long-chain alcohol or ester solvent. At room temperature, the developer donates a proton to the leuco dye, making it colored. Heat above 60 °C generated by friction melts the solvent, detaching the developer and turning the dye colorless. Cooling the writing surface below –10 °C in a freezer restores the ink color.

it says a lot about who the MPAA and studios were catering to. There is a weird subtext about city life and punk/skater aesthetic and the music on MTV being a corrupting force. Lassie remains a good girl, can't fault her

TIL that the term Funny Animal Comics refers to the fact the comics were featured in newspaper comic Funny Pages, not that the animals were meant to be particularly funny or comical themselves
