I do. I really want people who’ll be good to that area and the neighbors. I want it to be a home. I want someone who dreams of a pair of alpacas having free rein to play with a pack of puppies. Who’ll plant a vegetable garden and sunflowers and dahlias and all the sun loving flowers I can’t have.

And in this case, I basically repaired or replaced everything except the windows and counters. I couldn’t replace those because I didn’t have the budget or time. Those windows are 10’ across. Like… it’s as turnkey as you get with an old house. I didn’t have time to address the yard, though.

I guess so?? I mean, it’s literally a cinderblock built house in a rural area with cow barn literally across the street so I don’t know why they’d think it was fancy. I didn’t replace the counters because I didn’t have the budget and nobody sane would replace those cupboards (god, so beautiful).

What else…? I’m going to put in bracers to keep the joists from buckling like they did with this deck, and no wood will be directly on concrete or dirt. And I have rubberized waterproofing paint to finish it with. I have help. 🤣

Any tips on anything else I need to do before we start building would be great! The ground is prepped with an aggregate of dirt, rocks, and sand, all packed and leveled (prob will do more leveling and packing), and the deck will be resting on Camo deck blocks and we are using joist tape.

I’m sunburnt and kept getting distracted by all the pretty rocks I found but the sand is all packed down! HVAC system is going in on Friday and the septic is being pumped on Saturday so hopefully I can spend Sunday finishing the tiny things and cleaning. Then it goes on the market on the 2nd!

This is the house that will not stop introducing Problems. Problems that cannot be left for future owners to deal with. Here’s one of my current Problems. Turns out the deck boards can’t be simply replaced. They must all be removed and the whole thing rebuilt. It is very hot and there’s no AC.
