This is the house that will not stop introducing Problems. Problems that cannot be left for future owners to deal with. Here’s one of my current Problems. Turns out the deck boards can’t be simply replaced. They must all be removed and the whole thing rebuilt. It is very hot and there’s no AC.

These last six months have been full of learnings. Stuff like how to remove appliances, pull up flooring, remove toilets, cap off plumbing, change out light fixtures, install sub flooring, seal walls, lay new flooring…. Soon to install doors and siding! Feeling like a badass. 💪And hi from dogs.

Sherlock, the red husky, and Watson, the black and tan Doberman, lay peacefully near each other while I work. Sherlock is on a leash inside the house because he’s an escape artist and there’s some activity going on with the doors. Watson never leaves my side, so the doors can be wide open with a squirrel tap dancing upside down and she’ll just bark from her spot by me.

Hello frens! I’m dropping in to report that the sun is shining and there exists a happiest boy in all the land. Literally IN the land. I am plotting how to encourage him to help me with the garden beds.

Clemenza is growing every day! He’s the sweetest little guy, so very smart and eager to learn, incredibly snuggly, intuitive and sensitive, and just… he’s a dream.

Clemenza, the tiny Doberman puppy, is no longer so small. Here, he is sitting very nicely on a floral rug, wrapped ears at attention, wearing his big sisters’ puppy sweater that has seen much better days.

Clemenza the Doberman puppy shows off his spectacular sitting skills by putting his back half on the dog sofa and his front feet on the floor. He’s very handsome in his lovely blue sweater that he thoughtfully customized to his own liking.

My dude visited me in the basement while I was working and, seeing my bandaged hand, laughed about how the first thing I bought when I decided to start working with glass was a couple boxes of bandaids. But the glass is really pretty. Check out the clouds!!

Sadly, she passed the other night. It seems that her kidneys started shutting down despite the successful surgery, and her heart gave out. Her human decided to let her go. 💔 It really sucks to try so hard and for it to not be enough. Monty welcomed her sister home, so I know she’s not alone.

This extremely sad boy is having the worst day. First, he did some yard work, then dad undid all his hard work. Then, dad left his food bowl outside so he couldn’t check if more food would appear there, and then friend dog Watson got to eat her breakfast and he didn’t get second breakfast.

I’m so excited, I could burst. I’m getting two of the old windows from my childhood church so I can repurpose them into beautiful glass artwork. The church is one of the few things I still have connecting me to my grandmother, and she ensured those windows were preserved for decades.
