Had a several month issue where this idiot was pulling out all the fur from his legs. We tried coning him, treating for anxiety, stress, the works. Turns out he just wanted a replacement collar. The bow/bell fell off shortly before the mess started and apparently I didn’t replace it quickly enough.

Update on my injured cat, struggling with long-term medical collars. She can’t wear the plastic will work one and still eat. She can’t wear donut because she can still lick her foot. She’s currently wearing two donuts, which makes her lick her wound less but she’s absolutely miserable.

Got asked to send a postcard to a relative, and even though I haven’t touched a paintbrush in over twenty years and have practically no experience watercoloring, I tried to do something special. I tried the technique of unifying color by having the same undertone. I think it worked?

This is a watercolor painting of a Cinderella pumpkin and a ball cactus. The pumpkin is not round but squashed and concave at the top. The ball cactus is poorly painted but spiky looking.

When my long-distance friends and I discovered we all take out our garbage on Thursday, we formed the Thursday Night Trash Crew. This is the day we do a splurge of cleaning around the house. It’s really helped me because my headset is wireless, and I can be mirroring clean up with someone else.

My foster kitten is all healed up and ready to go. I’m going to miss Napoleon. He’s the only long haired kitten in the bunch. At five months, he weights 8.5 lbs and is larger than his short-haired mother. Genetics is a crazy thing.

What's the cost of a free cat? Over $2500. $350 for the initial neuter and vaccines and over $2000 to remove a tumor from his shoulder. Apparently vaccines give Sam super tumors and he almost lost a leg. It grew to double the size of a pea within a week of the injection but was safely removed.

I've never taken in an animal who didn't have an unexpected cost of a couple hundred dollars the first year I had them. This is why pets can make for terrible gifts. They are a several year financial and emotional commitment. I should go over costs of free pets at some point. They are not that free.
