Yeah, I really felt for steven at the end. He kinda got Greg's dream life pushed on him. Kid didnt go to school, doctor or get much of a chance at a normal life. Greg kinda rubs me the wrong way when he had that ep introducing his parents to steven.

Study of The huntress from #deadbydaylight i did while i was working on my horror visual novel. I was trying to find fem presenting horror villains that favor a Michael Myers in terms of physical intimidation factor. Maybe I’ll post my characher design i came up with if there is any interest.

Also, doing things like storyboarding classes that require a scene pushed me to get back in that headspace. Also, writing down all the random little dumb fun ideas that you can go back to helped as well.

For a long time i had tons of ideas that i had no ability to bring to fruition. When i focused more on how to make things it got me away from the part of me that just had fun coming up with those ideas. Making things that don't have a "productive" benefit just for me helped i think.

Spent 15 minutes roughly sketchin @opalispeachy.bsky.social and ended up with a decent example of how I stack, then merge ,layers of alternating roughs and smudge blending. Pretty much everything I do is repeating this basic process, refining as a go.

Wat! Do you mess with the layer blend modes at all? I have like 10 layers and like 3 or more different blend modes. I have tried a more painterly method but all on a single layer. Gotta try this out. Thanks!

If you have exp with unity and C# and want to write something more flexible/extensible then either ink or fungus are great but i have a bias for ink since you can tweak a lot of the core functionality pretty simply in code. Dialogic for godot was pretty good for v3 and i suspect its still good.

So, ive used ink and fungus with unity , dialogic with godot, renpy and visual novel maker. Renpy is probably the best all around solution if you want a all in one solution that has everything "baked in".

Physical Therapy has been my friend after in had back surgery. A while before that I was in pretty decent shape generally but, there were specific muscles and exercises that help to strengthen the muscules that get over used when working stationary for hours and hours.
