@rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social Playing an episode of Gamesmaster at PlayExpo, but it’s not the same without your commentary! I’ve been spoilt!

My wife is up in Newcastle, staying with friends, having done the Great North Run. But I suddenly worry for her safety with what she’s found in their house!! @rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social

I really wish I could remember how it broke, but I just can’t! I did manage to pick up Treasure Island and Oh Mummy from a bargain bin in second hand antiques type shop, randomly. They had loads of all those bundled games for sale individually! Strange what you remember sometimes!

I got this bundle originally. But it had to be returned and I don’t really remember why. I guess the computer stopped working. I got the light gun +2A pack as a replacement.

A bit of retro seen in the National Museum of Iceland.

I think it caused a few sleepless nights! I might have been a few years older, but it was definitely when I was in middle school.

Thinking about video rentals. Once me, and two friends, wanted to watch Aliens, when we were about ten. We wrote a fake letter from a friend’s “mum” saying we were allowed to rent it. Took it along, and we got the video to rent!!

“Declan Donnelly! Swinging his arms so free…” Oh the puffin song?

I’m off to Iceland for a holiday at the weekend, and because of @rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social’s Byker Grove video we’ve booked a trip to see puffins!! #itspuffintime

Another one of these “remedies”.

Nick Brown @eviledwin.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Actually it’s been in my head on and off since I saw it on Patreon. Up there with the hammers song from Rainbow!

Nick Brown @eviledwin.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Stop it! I’ve had that in my head all night so far!

Amazing! I remember a friend at high school telling me about a game he'd played on his dad's Apple Mac involving a monkey you could put to sleep with a dart gun, in a 3d maze. I never knew what it was. Until now! Thanks for solving a mystery for me!

I’m always intrigued by the books @jasoncompton.bsky.social has behind him during @thisweekinretro.bsky.social. Compelling covers and interesting titles that hint at the tale within. Reminds me of buying Acorn Electron games in the 80s. No screenshots. Just a title and picture. Each game a mystery

Just curious. Are the Ashes Reborn decks for sale on the web store the factory printed sets, or are they print on demand? Thanks!

That’s the next evolution of AI in phones. Siri gets a massive face, and becomes more annoying than Clippy from Microsoft Word…

A friend of mine had the Batman pack, and that was my first experience of the Amiga. Mine was Cartoon Classics, although Batman The Movie was one of the first games I bought for it!
