@rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social Playing an episode of Gamesmaster at PlayExpo, but it’s not the same without your commentary! I’ve been spoilt!

My wife is up in Newcastle, staying with friends, having done the Great North Run. But I suddenly worry for her safety with what she’s found in their house!! @rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social

I’m always intrigued by the books @jasoncompton.bsky.social has behind him during @thisweekinretro.bsky.social. Compelling covers and interesting titles that hint at the tale within. Reminds me of buying Acorn Electron games in the 80s. No screenshots. Just a title and picture. Each game a mystery

Went back home town for my mum’s 70th birthday and Mother’s Day, and oh my fuck. I think I’ve found where they retired… @rosetintedspectrum.bsky.social

Finally beaten Monty On The Run after nearly a year of trying! No save states, start to finish with two lives left. I need a holiday after that. A short break away! I wasn’t quick enough to get a screenie of the ending, but here’s the last screen and my high score! #zxspectrum #retrogaming

Not much of an end screen, but a nice animation of Frank Nitty falling from the roof into a car. That’s The Untouchables completed. Onwards! #zxspectrum #zxspectrumnext #retro

Finally finished Knightmare from @tomjamespotter.bsky.social! Brilliant and faithful recreation of the much loved ITV show. Rock hard game, but very satisfying completing it. Shame there were no Catacombites, as I always found those terrifying as a child! Maybe for Knightmare 2? #zxspectrum

I haven’t tried to complete an Ultimate game since I finished Alien 8 last year. So let’s give Knight Lore a go. I recall it being much easier than Alien 8! #zxspectrum #zxspectrumnext #retro #8bit

Having complete Wanted Monty Mole and Monty is Innoncent must means it is time for Monty on the Run! I’ve been looking forwards to this one! Hopefully it’s not as brutal as Wanted was!! #retro #zxspectrum #wasmontyreallyinnocent
