I just caught up with the last fews episodes Ted Lasso’s season 4. The timing of the last one hit me hard, even ending with a song on Edmund’s playlist. I’d already picked that song for his memorial.

Friends, on Friday night a little after 10PM Pacific time, my husband Edmund Metheny drew his last breath. He died at home as he had wished, two weeks after leaving the hospital. After over 30 years of sharing jokes, interests, values, experiences and more, I will miss him so much.

Talking to the many medical professionals — hospitalist, cardiologist, infectious disease specialist, nephrologist, nurses — it's clear that there is no medical option that would give him a better quality of life than what he has had these past two months...

On the Al front, the trade has been dead money for more than 3 months now. The metrics I am following (token expenditures and GPU lease rates) are all flat to down. The price of memory (DRAM) seems to be the only thing that is still going up.

I’m grateful that there is a farmers’ market twice a week at the local @kaiser-permanente.bsky.social hospital. It gives me a chance to pick up fresh supplies as I visit my husband. Got some nice rustic bread, figs, strawberries, blackberries, and goat cheese to keep me from ordering out.
