admittedly something that rankles me is when people like to, jokingly or not, lash out at other dialects or accents of their language. it can be in good fun but for some people they genuinely believe that there are better/worse ways, or god forbid, right/wrong ways to speak a language.

D&D in Japan: The big mid-90s push. The bunkobon format of the three-volume Rules Cyclopedia, localized in both text and artwork style. It sought to reclaim some of the ground lost to Lodoss and Sword World - complete with D&D in the arcades with Capcom to promote the Mystara setting.
