Thought we did well tonight. Lack of backup for Barry worries me, he’s clearly shattered after 70 mins.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Still buzzing after yesterday. Both those goals are why we love football so much - just raw emotion when they go in!! The fact they happen so rarely is what makes them so good!!

Thank you for taking this one for us all.

Braiden Graham. What can you tell me about him? That’s a lot of youth goals…

There haven’t been that many players over the years who make you sit up every time they get the ball. Kanchelskis, Deulofeu, Rodrigues - Nydiaye. Just always sad when they go.

Yesterday, I like most my timeline was questioning decision makers at Everton. 24 hours later If they opened a bidding war for outgoing, sign a new striker, then I’ll be proved wrong.

We need - desperately need a clinical goal scorer. Not a Labrador. I don’t disagree with his heart, passion and love for the club. But he’s just not a good fit in any lineup as has no natural position to suit his game.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Agree, can do a job as a sub. But he’s not going to settle for being sat on bench. My biggest issue is he’s not a striker. I’m just not sure what he is.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Disagree. His finishing is terrible. He’ll score a worldy and then miss tap-ins. Don’t get me going about his inability to judge offside. Love the fella, don’t like the footballer.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

That’s my point. 11 goals is all he’ll ever do, on a good year. Love his spirit, fight and definitely a blue. But frankly not good enough as a leading striker - hold up play is poor, pace is average and finishing is unreliable at best.

Gutted. I wouldn’t have Richy back at all. He’s not a winger, not a striker, not a 10. He’s struggled at Spurs as not had a role. Oh and he’s injury prone.

£40m for a player who hasn’t featured in any role for us isn’t pennies. I don’t agree with selling him at all, but that’s a big sum for a completely unproven player.

Wow. Who needs Haaland when we have Barry…

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I’m a Moyes fan. He’s got us solid, organised and confident for a better future. However, his failure to take the league cup seriously will always annoy me. It’s the best and probably only chance of silverware we have. Fingers crossed he proves me wrong tonight.

Views on Hackney and Rohl yesterday?

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

Attacking options of Nyiaye, George, Dibling and now Johnson - there is some real dynamism there. But agree need Barry to really step it up.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Depressing read, but completely relate. What’s our aim for the season? Our transfer intent indicates 12th / 13th would be a job done.

Really good - you’ll have a great time. Got a bit of everything with old town, new art scene and lovely food!

When Gueye left last time it left a massive hole. I reckon he can do a great job for us. Not one for the future, but perfect for now.

Great to see reflection of the boss at Athletic Club Bilbao museum today. Such a legend.

It’s all feeling a bit underwhelming this pre-season. I hate a season where our ambition is 13th place. 🥱

010

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

No point signing him though if he’s not a Moyes player. Although Grealish worked out pretty well in that way!

010

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

Wonder why we would buy Tyrique George. He looked a long way off. Frankly he didn’t even look like he wanted to be there…?

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 29/06/2026

So not much love. You’ve got me doubting it now!

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

So Liam Delap. Thoughts? I’m in. (And yes this follows is a deleted post after asking about Rory Delap!!)

Good point. Just so many players not good enough to take us to the next level. If we continue with that team as our foundation, it’s more relegation scraps that European football for us.

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Some how even when we have the best season in ages we still feel like we’re getting worse. Everton that.

110

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

Perfect summary. Really frustrating night, but still so much better in defeat than some spineless performances we’ve seen in other years. Feel the team spirit is good, just lacking finish (all season).

030

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

Gutted with the result. But they kept going, never gave up and feel robbed there.

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Good memory! Just remember his blistering form and impact he made!

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Didn’t we sign Kevin Campbell in January window? Even if not true, still need someone like him with genuine pedigree rescued from being unhappy in a European league!

100

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Slightly concerning we can’t sign anyone better than Beto and McNeil who have interest and could bring in some cash.

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

Good recovery from awful first half… so good to have some players back. Disappointed for Patterson - really want him to take that position and own it. But great to see Barry enjoying the game.

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Great point. One that can’t fit into the 25%.

000

Everton Gecko @evertongecko.bsky.social · 17/01/2026

Given American products are so entwined with our culture it’s going to be tricky. But, I’m going to do the best I can to remove 10-25% of my spend from American businesses. We may be just a small country, but we’re a great one too…

Ben White at right back sounds good to me.
