90 YEARS AGO: The Denman Arena burned to the ground on August 20, 1936. It was built in 1911 at Denman and Georgia Streets and sat over 10,000 people. The only thing that survived was the concrete slab. It's now Devonian Harbour Park #westend From Vancouver Exposed: evelazarus.com/book/vancouv...

Dianna and Donna Ring were identical twins who grew up in #NorthVancouver. The family moved to Mabel Lake in the Okanagan in 1960, 3 years later, the 15-year-olds were dead. Murdered on their way home from their #Enderby high school. Blog and #coldcasecanada podcast: evelazarus.com/cold.../s6-e...

Gail Rogers, 26 was beaten to death with a hammer inside her Kitsilano, Vancouver apartment on Feb 17, 1975. Her body was found dumped in a river bed near Squamish a few weeks later. She was a dancer and her murder is believed to be a hit: Cold Case Canada podcast: evelazarus.com/the-nightclu...

Remembering Tracey Harley Archer, a driver with the 14th Brigade Canadian Field Artillery service. He shipped out to France in August 1917 and survived a shot to the head the following year. Archer moved to Vancouver from Regina in 1937 and died at age 86: evelazarus.com/remembrance-... #ww1
