friends, I've always been DIY or die but I think I am ready to admit to myself that I need a booking agent ideally this would not just be a standard "i book mid-level bands" agent but someone who can kinda bridge both music world and speaking world i play punk shows and give keynotes 😅 any ideas?

I understand that paywalls are annoying, but the grim reality for everything right now, is if you want something to exist, you have to put money towards it. Every creative person is having their life's work hoovered up by AI companies. Layoffs never end. Private equity keeps making things worse.

where are you seeing lax legislation? I'm not seeing any. There's a lot of talk but very few concrete policy proposals that have any momentum around them. Thinking like an organizer means channeling your anger to build power for what you want instead of just mocking people you think are wrong

I'm begging AI skeptics and people who are highly critical of the "existential risk" frame to think like organizers and approach this moment as an opportunity for power building rather than an opportunity for correcting and scolding people you think are wrong. Try to meet people where they're at.
