Definitely not happy the merger got approved, but I’m not gonna bow my head in despair. I’m still fighting for a brighter future for filmmaking no matter what and I know this merger will only hurt Ellison in the long run. No matter what, I’m still holding strong for good movies.

Nobody and nothing is exempt from criticism. But the problem is how much criticism online is not done in good faith, but generally resorts to insults, screaming, buzzwords, and the same bad faith talking points you've seen countless times already.

I am going to say this right now, regardless how forgotten Island does at the box office It’s going to have a lot of impact later on and honestly who agrees that just because an amazing movie flopped that doesn’t really mean that it’s going to get forgotten because it will find its audience

I mean, the fact that he's fully embracing AI really goes to show how much little care he has for ALL artists out there. It is definitely a blessing that he's not at DreamWorks anymore. Even Disney got fed up with him as well.

to be honest, I’m worried that Forgotten Island might suffer the same thing as in the Heights was in 2021 even though despite rave reviews, it ended up backfiring at the box office because I feel like it’s really because of a niche concept and having early screenings is way too early

Yeah, I think the animators on segments of "Not Just A Goof" had this in mind when they designed the Goof-version of Katzenberg to be a short tyrant whose major suggestion nearly hurt A Goofy Movie. Sure, HE was the one who pushed the crew to find the emotional core of the film, but still...

I would trust the guy who almost replaced Bill Farmer as Goofy in A Goofy Movie, the guy who tried hard to make 3D the next big thing in the 2010s and was one out of many reasons why we had 3D and IMAX surcharges at that time, and the person who though Quibi would be long lasting dearly.
