Hellraiser: Revival is a fun game but damn I can’t play for too long without going slightly insane at how much of a maze everything is. Which means they absolutely nailed the vibes, and I welcome the insanity.

One hill I will die on gladly every day is that Lil Nas X should have a Grammy, and God damn if this song doesn’t just prove it. It’s catchy as fuck and gives me hope and makes me cry and makes me want to dance, and so few things do that much anymore. music.youtube.com/watch?v=L47I...

Agents don’t hack people, negligent people who don’t properly configure their testing environments hack people.

Was one of those warnings ‘hey we shouldn’t just let agents litter all over our internal artifact repository’ because again HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT HAPPEN WITHOUT IT BEING CAUGHT AND BLOCKED FOR FUTURE TESTS.

Here’s the thing people don’t realize about Midwest women: When they finally get pushed far enough to Be A Bother, they’re REALLY going to Be A Bother.

We have a solution to this problem already. It’s called the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and it’s older than I am. No actual person had their hands on the keyboard? Doesn’t matter. Someone owns the systems involved here. Charge those people and this shit will stop happening overnight.

Get ready for Sinophobic stories about Chinese labs creating models with no guardrails that will take over the world and kill us all, interspersed with ads from a think tank funded by OAI/Anthropic pushing legislation to make Chinese-developed models illegal.

One of the kittens we adopted in July is such a slut for scritches, and it’s honestly one of the best parts of my day. Whenever we’re all laying on the couch, he’ll just go from person to person snuggling and nuzzling our face while we rub under his chin, then do the whole loop over again.

This video has been lodged in my brain since I watched the first 30 seconds of it yesterday. James Dyson stands there and equates the storming of the Bastille to his company launching a new product (that product is a toothbrush). youtu.be/IuP4jZOs4sY?...

I swear to god every time you read between the lines even a little bit, every one of these articles is using scaremongering about AI’s capabilities to make them look hyper-capable. The bit about agents talking to each other and sharing techniques? That’s just what they do. Constantly.

I’m sorry but if your AI agents managed to repurpose your Artifactory as a message board/file sharing utility, and your SIEM tooling didn’t *light the fuck up like a Christmas tree* why are you even allowed to touch computers?

The problem with a question like this is that it doesn’t differentiate between what things respondents think Americans should be willing to give up. Because sometimes those things boil down to “basic personal safety” and other times they boil down to “another yacht.” These things are not the same

Sure, there are bad things, but right now I have three 11-week old kittens crawling all over me and purring so sometimes there’s really good things too.

When I was a clinic defender, we had a rule that you could not talk to the antis. They would deliberately try to suck us into arguments so we wouldn’t see patients walking up. Random passers-by who told antis off made our day, and often had the effect of distracting *them* from harassing patients

“What a beautiful universe, hon" says a telescope as gazes upon an aurora borealis. “It really is”, responds the telescope's partner, who it turns out is not a telescope, but a microscope. Hands full of algae, she wades waist deep in a disgusting swamp, amazed by the heavenly microscopic life all around them.

Ohio. The glacier that made the Great Lakes should have done us all a solid and scooped Ohio out too, then maybe Michigan college football would have a worthy football rival instead of *spits* OSU.

Someone should invent a thing that lets me drink all the wine I want without getting drunk. And no, non-alcoholic wines don’t count, I’ve tried them and they’re generally disappointing.

I’m not going to look because I value my sanity, but I’d be willing to bet there’s a lot of people calling him Mayor Mao right now, and frankly, I think where landlords are concerned he should lean into that characterization.

If I were writing a new Bill of Rights, one of those rights would absolutely be a bathtub large enough to fit three people in it with space left over. (This post brought to you by the soaking tub in my hotel bathroom, which is so big it might as well be a small pool).

I had to drive down to California to take care of some stuff, and let me tell you, adaptive cruise control is fucking magic. I don’t need ‘full self driving,’ I just need a car that will follow the car in front of me at a consistent distance. It barely feels like driving.
