Assessment+insights on EU GPAI Code of Practice allowing AI companies freedoms at the expense of creatives and future education. The CoP is intended to oblige #AI providers to be transparent and PROTECT COPYRIGHT. Experts from the creative industries criticise, it primarily/only serves #techbros.
Image with text, followed by portraits of the six experts who give their assessment of the EU Code of Practice for AI models:
Damning conclusion from creative experts
The EU Code of Practice is intended to oblige AI providers to be transparent and protect copyrights. However, experts from the creative industries criticise that the code fails to protect authors and primarily serves the interests of tech companies.

Quote:
‘This code is not a legally binding set of rules and completely misses the practical and legal interests of the authors concerned. It is a political compromise that serves (non-EU) AI developers.’ NINA GEORGE, AUTHOR, POLITICAL ADVISOR TO THE EUROPEAN WRITERS' COUNCIL
