Isolated, euhedral to subhedral olivine phenocrysts (showing second and third order interference colours) are surrounded by a groundmass made up of opaque iron oxides and an ophitic intergrowth of small, euhedral plagioclase laths surrounded by large clinopyroxene crystals.
