When NTTS and I tried to start EAC, getting help on programming side was the bigger challenge. Software quickly out-grow a one person effort.

I have pondered several times about how to correctly run a service that is users first principle. Seems like making good software that can run decentralized is a better way to go. However, how to get the programming resources needed to keep software good and stable?

I damaged my motorcycle by sliding out of a round about. It was so slippery in the round about, some other motor cyclists said it must be diesel on the wet asphalt, because they slid a bit too. So now I got a bit of repairs to do. Blinker light, rear mirror, and GPS mount broke.

What is the point of suffering through species dysphoria? It is uncurable and it just makes already challenging situations worse. It is like hiking a mountain, but your back pack is loaded with rocks. It brings no advantage to the journey nor at the end of it.

Even more weird that podcast seems to work better for me than audio books. It might be that podcast is not trying to impress me with world building and emotions, so I follow it easier as my imagination is not much involved.

I tried Wings of Fire as audio book, but after being through first book and not really having any impressions at all, I read it again as text book and was surprised how many impressions and derails I missed with the audio book. I definitely do audio books wrong 😅

Maybe I am listening too passive. Though, maybe also my reading style does not help. Sometimes i go back and re-read paragraphs or conversations. Not because I missed something, but to relive it more vividly. I will give it a try with how you do it. 😊

It is very hard to not have my mind wander onto whatever pops up that is not related to the book. It is a bit annoying, as I would like to listen to audio books while driving or doing chores or gardening. Not just when I can take the time to sit down and read.

A question for the audio book listeners out there; How do you get anything out of audio books? When I read a book, my imagination builds, visualize, and play out the events in the book. When I listen to audio book my mind can not stay focused on the story at all.

Maybe only Sony really care about pixel performance, but it seems the interest is declining on pixel performance. MP and cost is all that matters, AI fix the rest.

It is sadly a trend I have talked about for years in image sensors community. We are coming to a time where high quality sensors are no longer needed, because cheap high MP imagers are paired with AI to boost IQ and resolution.

It was a very different experience to walk through rain in 38C. The rain had no cooling effect at all. It was like a steam bath with very high humidity, and the light breeze did not help either. Tokyo-area is miserable in July.

You might notice it says "Feels like 44C", but it could just as well have suggested "Feels like sitting in a Finnish sauna with a jackass who keep putting on too much water in the rocks, so it is super steamy and hot". Not sure if anyone actually read the alt-text, but if you do I love you 💙

I was not sure how to respond to this, and I get what you are saying. That you for the encouraging words 💙 I meant, as a person, being dragon is the base of all I am. If I remove my dragon self, since everything else is built on me being a dragon, I am just an empty shell. No soul left.

It is what I try to do, to think of my body as a disguise and my "human" personality my alter ego. As long as I go about daily life and not think too much about it, it is okay. But it falls apart when I am in bed and thinking too much.

Norwegian Dragonkin Gathering 2026 is at an end and we were 19 critters sharing an awesome time together in a cabin on Blefjell. Weather could be better, but the time with friends was precious. 🥰 Thank you all for coming and making NDG 2026 an unforgettable experience. Next NDG will be the 15th NDG!

The NDG group did a 2 hour long horse riding at Langedrag today. We were fortunate with the weather and the horses were very well behaved. Eventually we got rid of the goats...
