iCloud is driving me nuts. It’s fine if you are just pulling a file or two but it seems like they’ve decided to make it as difficult as possible to move data in bulk. I know it’s because they don’t want you leaving but I’m not even trying to do that I JUST WANT MY FILES..

I mean there was also the music and the bumpers and etc etc. The Gundam Wing one is insane. There isn’t a deep dive video essay out there that could get someone as curious/hyped about a thing they’ve never heard of half as effectively as a 1 minute promo spot AMV with sick beats and Peter Cullen.

It just cannot be understated that a major part of Toonami’s success in becoming the beachhead for anime in the States were these promos showing kids like me the coolest shit they have ever seen with Peter Cullen pitching it in the coolest terms possible with THAT VOICE. youtu.be/oaQKbmywCK4?...

RIP Peter Cullen. I was a little young for Transformers the show and the movies hadn’t hit yet so my first encounter with him was obviously Toonami. Best to ever do it. youtu.be/kziSDTpAaOA?...

enshittification ouroboros

the anti-ai symbol, where ai is depicted as an ouroboros, defecating and devouring it's own feces, while stabbing itself through the heart

Imagine how long it would’ve taken Isiah Whitlock Jr to finish saying “sheeeiit” if The Wire had continued to make more seasons.

Probably doesn’t help that I’ve got a doctor appointment later this afternoon that I don’t want to go to so obviously the last 36 hours have been a wash.

I’m like 3/3 in the last 24 hrs when it comes to “Read an opinion article that upset me” and I think I’m just done with opinion articles for a while.

I dunno about strongest but it's the one that happened most recently. I was watching The Furious and there were maybe 15 other people (myself included) in the theater who all went "OOOOOOOOHHH" in unison at the 5 way split screen that kicks off the finale.

I know no one wants to try and set up shop elsewhere but I really don’t get why so many artists are so active on IG when it’s really very clear they don’t want you there. Every week there’s a new enshitification feature targeted to kick visual artists in the nuts and I’m still seeing folks push it

Trying to figure out what to do with my day and being unable to convince myself that having 4 hours is enough time to do anything is probably the most ADHD I’ve ever felt in my life.

I dunno how helpful this is but here’s the ones I particularly enjoyed. The Organ Donor The King Surrogate The God? The False Jester The End. The Unfocused Stargazer The Chromatic Assassin The Haunted Collector The Excised Baron …The Start The Time Caretaker The whole deck is cool tho! Followed!

sorry but the ents attacking Isengard has always struck a wrong note with me: we’re supposed to cheer the ents destroying jobs and infrastructure in a hissy fit of misguided environmentalist pique?

I did a round up of some older Sena pieces I did way back that I still quite like. I just think she's neat.

Organizing a zine might be fun. Or making one myself first probably? Or maybe contributing to a zine? Or finishing some art work? I dream big

What's galling is that if you are at that level the rendering bit they are using AI for doesn't take that long? It's like those cartoons where they show an automated factory use a whole tree to make one toothpick but in this case when it's done the toothpick is also fucked up.

Just checking something and bumping for the evening crowd.

three anime girls in golden swimsuits. They are from the game Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Pandoria, Brighid, Morag.

Are they working on that new 3D Mario or a new new Zelda or Metroid or Smash or whatever? Yes probably of course they are. But they aren’t going to say shit about it till it’s playable.

Esteeb @esteeb.art · 10/06/2026

It’s not the most internet/fandom friendly method but I prefer it this way because I know that when they say a game is coming out it’s probably coming out and it will look like what they say it will. Does that mean every decision they make is good? No. But at least this way I can plan accordingly.

Nintendo has stepped on that particular rake enough times to know that setting expectations early is better than overpromising in the long run. So they don’t do that anymore and favor drip feeding quicker turnarounds throughout the year.

100

Esteeb @esteeb.art · 10/06/2026

If someone is telling you a big game isn’t going to be out for a few years there’s a nonzero chance that game never sees the light of day. Or when you do see it, it’s radically different than what was promised either because overpromising happened or things changed mid stream.

Esteeb @esteeb.art · 10/06/2026

So when you stack it against something like the State of Play and the like where you can very well get a super crazy trailer that ends with “Spring 2028” or whatever. There’s a bit of a hype gulf but it’s the cost you pay for being reliable. Because if you’re like me you know by now…

100

Esteeb @esteeb.art · 10/06/2026

I was having this convo after watching it but I think part of why Nintendo Directs can feel a little flat especially during summer trailer season is that they don’t tell you what’s cooking a year in advance (mostly). They very much are in “this game is done, it’s out in 3 months” mode all the time.

Posting my art in 2026

A two panel image macro of Ben Wyatt from the show Parks and Recreation. He's unshaven and disheveled. In the first panel that caption reads "I mean, look what I've accomplished." He is holding in his had what looks to be a crudely photoshopped insert of a crudely drawn anime woman with blue hair, large breasts in a bikini. He looks proud of himself. The 2nd panel he is holding the object, also crudely photoshopped to look like the drawing from the first panel, out in front of him forcefully. His demeanor has shifted toward the manic. The caption reads "Do you thinks a depressed person could make this?"

Answering the question: What if #Rosalina were really tall and willowy? Uncensored version maybe some place else. I know people like to draw her curvier but I figure she's from space so with the gravity she'd be long and tall. Included the other princesses for fun/to show off shape head canons.
