Located at Nanzo-in Temple in Sasaguri, Fukuoka Prefecture, this grand bronze monument—stretching 41 meters in length, 11 meters in height, and weighing approximately 300 tons—is celebrated as one of the largest bronze statues in the world. Erected in 1995, the Nehanzō was constructed to house sacred Buddhist relics gifted from Myanmar as an expression of gratitude for decades of medical supplies and humanitarian aid provided by the temple.
