This month, we excitedly welcomed 151 women and gender expansive people into our loving and powerful Sisterhood, marking our largest Healing to Advocacy Graduation season yet. After graduating 11 cohorts across California and nationally, our Sisterhood is now 700+ leaders strong across 36 states!

AB 2434: The Visitor Protections & Safety Act has passed the Senate Public Safety Committee 5-0! This is a huge step forward to ensure women with incarcerated loved ones are protected in CDCr visiting rooms! Stay tuned for more updates as we head to the Senate Appropriations Committee!  🙌🏾🧡

AB 2434 (Bonta) and AB 1645 (Gonzalez) have passed the CA Assembly Floor! Both bills would ensure stronger visitation protections for women, children, and families visiting their loved ones in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCr) facilities. Stay tuned for more updates!
