Spaeleomedusa fylvensis lives in the karst caves of the Forest Nation, relying on underground flowing rivers and the nutrients they bring, which also determine its metamorphosis and reproduction. It's a pseudo filter feeder also capable of predating other animals. #sedimentarylands #worldbuilding

The Rift Ocean is scattered with deep trenches, while in the Seamounts Ocean there is more volcanic activity and seamounts. The Polar Ocean is around the south pole and it partly connects with the other two. #sedimentarylands #worldbuilding

A small, spotted tiger cat from Bolivia may just be the beginning of a wave of new small cat species.

This 10-year-old male tiger cat is the first of his species (named Leopardus tilcayo) known to science. He is approximately 18 inches from head to end of body and weighs only 3 pounds, making him smaller than the average domestic cat. Winter in the Sedimentary Lands is dreadful: the glaciation causes unbalance in practically all regions and while most animals are adapted to this cold, humans are not so much. Animals become more opportunistic and it's possible they could also hunt humans. #sedimentarylands #worldbuilding
