A hypnotee is a person, not a test subject (well, unless they want to be in a more kinky context). I'm not saying that the word "subject" and other dehumanising language shouldn't be used at ALL, I'm saying it shouldn't be the default, and should only be used in appropriate contexts.

Normalise using the term "hypnotee" instead of "subject". If we want hypnosis to be a more normalised, acceptable thing we can't be using dehumanising language, and the fact that it is so often the default in hypnosis isn't great honestly.
