Halloween event in Brighter Shores is great, they've added new lighting and fog effects that make everything look appropriately spooky and the combat is so much better than normal- there are actual mechanics! And each type of enemy has its own mechanics you have to learn! Who would have expected it?

My sister absolutely loved that collection, she got really into Deep Forest at one point. Whereas I always preferred Windham Hill's emphasis on acoustic guitar and piano (though they also wound up trying to cash in on the trends with a lot of their 90s releases).

Whereas I can load up Brighter Shores and spend hours doing the same resource-grinding loops over and over and thoroughly enjoy it, the journey is more important than the destination, and it's purposely a slow journey in a way that weirdly appeals to me.
