Tässä tilanteessa todennäköisesti 8 mrd. euron elvytys olisi parempi kansantalouden rahoitusasemalle kuin 8 mrd. euron sopeutus, varsinkin jos samalla pystyttäisiin investoinneilla vähentämään tuontiriippuvuutta esim. fossiilisista polttoaineista. BKT:n kasvun kiihtyminen kuitenkin kattaisi paljon.

Miten Suomen talous voi olla kuralla? Suomalaisilla yksityishenkilöillä makaa tileillä n. 120 mrd ja siihen varmaan paljon muuta sijoitusvarallisuutta päälle, firmat tekevät voittoa yli 25 mrd vuodessa. Olisiko vaan niin, että ollaan päätetty priorisoida yksityisvarallisuus yhteisen hyvän edelle?

Miten olisi veroporkkana yhteiskuntamme taloudellisesti aktiivisimmille. Kytketään suurituloisten ja ehkä hieman yritystenkin verotus siihen, miten taloudella menee. Jos talous ja työllisyys kasvavat reilusti annetaan suurituloisille veroalea, mutta jos käy toisin, kiristetään verotusta.
