It's a fun way of painting. I got into it with metallics first. Try something like s75 decayed metal, and sponge some silvers over the top. Works a treat and gives a taster of how sponge painting feels like

I'm just a monkey with a paint brush. But the thing I like most about The Sponge is that you can get nice smooth transitions from contrasting colours. Like from dark green or blue, to yellow. From brown to green etc.
