Got myself hired today. I start on Wednesday. As you do, I decided to take a picture of Hot Rod to make the announcement. As you also do, I parodied the infamous Kevin Durant "My Next Chapter". Because nothing's as funny as a ten year old meme. Also, Purrsy had opinions about the shoot...

A picture of Adama Rodimus posing, while Purrsy, an orange tabby, investigates. In the background is a poster that reads ""More Expresso, Less Depresso."

Purrsy, an orange tabby, looks at the camera in something between bewilderment and expectation.

Purrsy, the orange tabby, sits in front of a sign that reads "Beware of the Dog; The Cat is Shady as Hell Too". In the foreground, the Adama Rodimus can be seen.

Adama Rodimus parodies the infamous Kevin Durant "My Next Chapter" image from the Player Tribune. An image of a cat peeks between his back fins.

Let me tell you how immense my disappointment was when I opened this e-mail to learn that no, Barbie and Ken were NOT doing a collab with Jean-Claude Van Damme. The wait for the Barbie Timecop collection goes on…

Since I’m still waiting on unemployment, had to spend time of the phone with a company to use the payment insurance I’ve been paying for the longest time. On the up side? It gave me time to do a decent (by my standards) Pandora doodle.

Doing the Photo a Day fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and I thought I'd share Day One here. Purrsy is in his tree, relaxing after a hard day of Important Cat Business. My focus is (literally not figuratively) a little meh after so long away from the camera, but getting the rust off!

Purrsy, an orange domestic short hair cat, relaxes in his cat tree with one paw dangling down.

Hopefully I’m not jinxing it, but I’m getting some real positive signs from a job I interviewed for yesterday and I’m getting a bit excited. I might finally be able to use more of my skills, and the people there seem REALLY nice. Fingers crossed!

Signed up for the American Cancer Society's Photo a Day in October, so I decided to take some pictures of the pets today. I played with lowering the exposure on Sorey to highlight his eyes and to work Purrsy's reflection in the window into the picture. And Moxxie? That guy's just got a cute face.

No interviews this week (though I have two next week). Still nothing from unemployment. And now I’m dealing with pain from the hernia I got from all my abdominal surgeries. Life is maaaagical.

The second member of Team Sweet Chaos is a year older! A month to the day after Moxxie’s, it’s Loona’s birthday! My sweet girl is two now! And we’re getting close to her being in our family for six months too. Poor pup hurt her back a few days ago, but is on the mend and back to her usual self.

I’ve never really had that classic bad breakup in a long term relationship, where you have all these mementos, like the shirt or book that belonged to an ex. So doing laundry and seeing all my shirts from my old job, I was like, “Oh, so that’s what that feels like.”

Sketches of Ivy from Deadlock, a couple of Link and one of the Devon Tower in downtown OKC. Nothing spectacular, but this was kinda fun. Dunno if I’ll ever be great at this, but I’m finally starting to see that’s not really the point.

I’d love to see what kind of hokey plots you could make for 80s cartoons in the modern world. Transformers - Swindle makes an app that hypnotizes people in robbing banks. G.I. Joe - Cobra kidnaps an influencer and puts Baroness in her place. And there would have to be a Convention Episode.

Had an interview that I felt went really well, and it's a place I think I'd really enjoying working. But I *also* got an e-mail from a place I've been applying to for literal years, and I kinda want to see where that leads too. Feel like things are finally starting to turn this week.

I’m really curious why Capcom is being so secretive with Proto Man’s Override form. Maybe the first time we get a look at his face under the visor? Maybe he doesn’t have a face? Maybe he’s really Torgo from Manos: The Hands of Fate? Either way, I’m intrigued.

They fired so many artists over this too. People who helped make the game iconic were tossed out on the street because the Slop Faucet could do it "decent enough". If you still play Fortnite, you're funding the hyper-acceleration of AI replacing Artists in Gaming

Y'know, it's really an indictment on humanity as a whole where more than a thimbleful of people think the idea of "Maybe we shouldn't bomb children, actually" is controversial. We need more Ms. Rachels in the world, and less of... well, most of what we have.

So, seeing as I am still bereft of employment... I have two questions. 1) Would there be a market for really pretty animal pictures like these? 2) Is there a good online site that handles the printing? I've got a local place I like working with but, y'know. Money.

Name a non-LOTR character who could resist the One Ring “That little bauble is telling me if I only take it up, the universe could be mine. Here I am, brain the size of a planet, and it’s telling me I can use my mind and its power to shape the cosmos to my whims. …sounds awful.”
