I quite liked Ardít's and Eldis' last entries, so curious to see what they bring.

There is frustration at the BBC, with accusations of them not taking things seriously. A number of artists were suggested, although frankly most of them would never do Eurovision no matter how much we may manifest it.

But not surprisingly, a common theme were predictions of receiving 0 points, coming last, and of keeping expectations low: “Expecting nothing and still being let down” and “One televote point and I'll be happy” were a couple of examples.

I asked earlier for people's expectations for the 🇬🇧 UK at #Eurovision 2027, and not surprisingly the general mood is pretty bleak. I was going to use the comments to make a Word Cloud, but it didn't quite work out as I expected. 🧵⬇️

🇲🇾 As a difficult customer when it comes to ballads, I can officially certify that this is a work of art. It's haunting and dramatic, and no doubt will be all the more powerful as a live performance. This is by far the strongest contender to win in Bangkok.

🇻🇳 Neglected to do Vietnam, so allow me to right that wrong. Not the usual thing I would gravitate towards, but I'm happy enough to sit through this performance. And I appreciate how unapologetically, unashamedly, shove-it-down-your-throat-and-out-the-other-side Vietnamese this is.

🇳🇵 Unexpected pick but he has charisma and a distinctive vocal, so it's not completely "huh?!". The start reminds me of a song in FiK60 that only I liked. Also, scrap the balaclavas because it currently looks like Pratik is being held by a couple of terrorists in a cupboard with walls of cling film.

It's becoming very apparent that Asian tastes differ substantially from Europe. One of the fan favourites only came 3rd, and the other didn't even get into the top 3.

Sadly, we've had to bid 🇨🇿 Czechia a Kiss Kiss Goodbye 😙😙👋 for now. But we're not turning the lights off on the gems they sent to #Eurovision over the years.

3️⃣1️⃣ countries have officially confirmed their participation in #Eurovision 2027 so far. See who's in, who's out, and who's yet to announce ⬇️.

ESC Hayden @eschayden.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Not necessarily. These are only those confirmed publicly. More will have confirmed to the EBU (we should get the full list within a few weeks). Expected total seems to be around 36-39.

If you're going to very prominently accuse a bunch of people you don't know of being morally bankrupt you might want to, at the very least, offer them the right to reply.

While Stuart makes a couple of points I would push back on, and I strongly disagree with the idea of judging other people for engaging or not with #Eurovision, on the whole it's a good summary of where the contest is at right now. youtu.be/LViF45Ycdqo?...

Looking forward to seeing how his Labrador energy holds up against the stresses and strains of some far flung, ramshackle rural train network, on his way to shovel goat poo in return for bed and board. 🤪
