yeah like a lot of fic comes with you (the reader) already loving these characters and sold on their relationship. trad pub doesn't have that boon, so it really falls flat when one shows me two guys and is like "they're in love. Source: trust me"

Which one is it? Two of the big ones have the same handma/ds ta/e esque plotline for some wild reason, which was not popular at all when I was reading fic for that ship (which was literally over a decade ago, granted) but I'm so curious as to what made those so popular+how jk/r might have influenced

I've read some of those (as a former drmione - listen I was 16 😭) and they've all been shrugs to me. Just mehs. Although im endlessly fascinated by fic->pub stuff Six Crim/son Cranes is a saiIor m00n fic and I genuinely think people are crazy when they tell me its not. I won't hear it.
