Good, but I really struggle to find a reason it wouldn’t have been better from a more consistent story telling medium like a book or show, which is my second big problem with JRPGs. Overall if I’m enjoying a JRPG it’s a very good game. For GOTY though, I still prefer silk song

E:33 is a very good game, and has done the near impossible task of getting me to enjoy a jrpg. The parry mechanic makes the game very interactive and the hard mode makes the game enjoyably difficult fixing both gameplay problems I usually have with RPGs. As far as the story goes, it’s definitely 1/2

Every character is capable of no impact lands, so it does expand kirbys combo game in some regard. However Kirby’s aerials are significantly worse at combing than Steve’s up air, so it would be a lot of effort for minimal extensions in 1 god aweful matchup
