@authorallegra.bsky.social will be doing a Q&A over at www.facebook.com/groups/proje... from 1-2PM EST on September 26th, 2026. Got questions about authoring? Magic Systems? World Building? The MICE method? How to build good plot maps? The Series? #indieauthors #indiereaders #readers

I read the newly released Cat Lady #5, and no notes. Was purrrfect. The glimpse into Kit's past and the people she worked with was awesome. #booksky #supernaturalmystery

So #SRC2026 ended. I read 29K pages and some change. I am still reading, of course, enjoying it. Currently reading "Wish Upon the Stars", and am on Book 12. #cultivationfantasy #booksky

#SRC2026 is over. I am wrung out in the best of ways. I smashed my personal goal. Next year, my goal is to break 30K pages read. My goal this year was 20K, and I smashed that one. 56 books in one summer is impressive, and I'm happy. #readers #indiebooks

I have read Books 1-7 of Path of Ascension. I'm hooked, and currently reading Book 8. All hail Queen Aster, Princess of Winter and bestest little sister in the universe! #booksky #litrpg

#SRC2026 Yes. I'm still reading for this. It ends on 8/31/26, and I am intent on fighting for my first place bragging rights. I'm currently at 47 books, with a total of 23,792 pages read. Goals have been obtained and surpassed - so it's the last stretch! #booksky #readers #indiebooks

Update on testing on Ellipsus - So far so good! We are 1300 words into the chapter and have found the following: 1. Live updates. We can watch each other change the document, which is huge for co-authoring. 2. Commenting - it works like in Google Docs, so yay! #indieauthor #ProjectAO #writing

#ProjectAO #indieauthor #drafting So it is official. We are testing Ellipsus with one of our chapters in Book 4 of the Mountain Fell. Initial thoughts of ellipsus are positive.

Finished the 2nd Neverwhere book and NOT disappointed. Archy is still great, but Georgia is a Queen and all should bow before her. And Farish. Musn't forget Farish. #booksky #indieauthor #litrpg

We need more disabled MAIN characters. Not just support/side cast members. I mean, I love Ogras in Defiance of the Fall but he isn't an MC. I want more folks with prosthetics, or chronic illnesses, to be the MCs in my fantasies, litrpgs, and the like. I know they exist. #booksky #indieauthor

I did it. I made my personal goal for the #SRC2026 with more than 20 days left. Which means everything after this is for bonus points. I broke 20k pages read! New record for me! #indiefantasy #celebrating

Mother and Slaughter by @lizshiptonauthor.bsky.social is amazing. I laughed. I laughed so hard I cried at the end because Reknaw's death is glorious. Femrage + gladiator + identity crises = Gold. #SRC2026 #indieauthor #booksky

34 Books. 17031 pages. Just finished reading Defiance of the Fall Book 1. Writing style was different so it took me longer than usual to get through this one, but the story is very good. Anyone else read this one? Also found the writing to be a bit stilted at the start? #src2026 #booksky

So Quest Academy is awesome. I finished up book 6, and am left with having just taken a nibble of the "Eat the Rich" arc as I am labeling it. IYKYK. For anyone who likes watching character growth, and seeing multiple small stories lead to larger ones - Quest Academy is for you. #booksky #heros

31 books, 15273 pages read so far for #SRC2026. Right now I'm chewing through the Quest Academy series, and I'm very much enjoying it. Just finished Book 4, and starting book 5. Heros. Crafting. Drama. Conspiracies. What more could you wish for, right? #booksky #indieauthor #indiebooks

27th book read for #SRC2026 is Ascendant by @michaelrmiller.bsky.social and it's wonderful. Dark themes, disabled protagonists, dragons, world-shaking trouble - YUM. Seriously, big thumbs up and 5 stars from me. #booksky #indieauthor

Legend of Neverwhere and the Lost Totems by David Trotter Like zelda vibes? Hearts for health tracking? LitRPG + Nerdy Protagonist stuck as a melee fighter with a southern belle at his side who heals AND punches? This book's awesome. #booksky #indieauthor #SRC2026

Magic, Maps, and Mischief by David Green Perfection. The main character is a 111 year old magic wielding map maker who is clearly autistic and is just adorable. So naive it hurts. And watching him grow and find friends and family in a new land is just marvelous. #booksky #indieauthor #SRC2026

And that's why I love it. It's quite serious on the apocalyptic descriptor and it feeds you just enough information as you go to make you feel as lost in the changes as the characters in the story. I love it.

2. While he is definitely amongst the strongest on Earth by the end of Book 2 - he still regularly gets his teeth kicked in. I don't mind takes a whoopin but wins - I mean by the end of book 2 he BARELY survives. This series is definitely not as light-hearted as many others.

#SRC2026 #indieauthor #litrpg #booksky Path of Dragons Book 1 and 2 So far I am in love with these books. 1. Elijah Hart is a middle aged man dying of terminal cancer at the start of the series. Does he cure his cancer? Well yes - but it's hardly painless and hardly easy.

I love how crazy fun Ilea Spears is. I love how she consistently puts herself in danger not usually for others, not because she has to, but because she wants to get BETTER. This isn't "I must have more power!" to rule anything. This is "I will improve because I want to!". Best Power Fantasy.

I think that people need to be wary of the labeling right now. I'm not suddenly "Ok" with AI in writing - but I'm also not willing to participate in a tar and feathers session against the innocent either. Thoughts?
