You might not know this, but you can actually hire me. I offer second opinions on solutions, I can help organise your engineering team, I can act as a fractional CTO, and much more. Send me a DM if you want to know more! #CTO #Contractor #Self-Employed

Already 1.0.3 :) Tested it, and won't be uninstalling any time soon. Works very well, easy to use and I'm sure with the amount of presentations and screen shares I do this will come handy!

Remember 1.0.0 of PresentInk a few days ago? Well, we're at 1.0.2 already :-) The latest version allows you to set different hotkeys for the various actions (go to the settings, scroll down). I also added a version check on startup (runs once per 24 hours, and only if you start it). presentink.com

I just uploaded PresentInk 1.0.0! A free to use presentation helper for MacOS ARM/Silicon that allows you to annotate on the screen in various colours, add rectangles, ellipses, arrows, text and take screenshots. It's like Zoomit (but no zooming 🙂 in PresentInk). Get it here: presentink.com

I started to build a new app: PresentInk. Think of it as ZoomIt for Mac without the zooming. And yes, I'm aware of existing tools. But isn't it way more fun to build something yourself? 🙂You can find it here: presentink.com. Open source. Read more here: www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

Maybe good to know: we lowered our PowerShell requirements for #PnP #PowerShell 3.0, it now runs on PowerShell 7.4, which means it should also work with Azure Automation. You need to use the latest nightly build for this. Thank you @gautamdsheth.bsky.social !

www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0dz... A while I ago I posted a track I made called "Sudden End". But I felt the end was not 'sudden' enough :-) So a few days later I 'rereleased it'. Still with a sudden end, just a bit further away. I added also some guitars while at it. 🙂

The word “login” comes from throwing a log attached to a rope with knots overboard a ship to see how many knots go by over time (see also, knots as speed). You’d then put that info in the “log book.” You’d “log in” on a regular basis. This wasn’t from 1959, it was likely from 1689! Etymology baby!

So... that was a clear case of "works on my machine!". It turns out that our build process created something that only worked on our machines 😃 So... a long story and a late evening later: we released #PnP #PowerShell 3.1 :-)

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 17/04/2025

oh wow... it took some time... but... we released PnP PowerShell 3.0!!! It's a huge release and notice: it's a -breaking- release. Do not blindly upgrade but read the article: pnp.github.io/blog/pnp-pow...

Fortunately I'm not doing PnP PowerShell alone nowadays but together with great minds like @gautamdsheth.bsky.social, Koen Zomers and @veronicageek.bsky.social. It's simply too big to be handled alone.

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 03/04/2025

No need to apologize! The balance between 'private life' / 'community work' and 'professional work' is precarious. I just wanted to point out that we're doing this when we have time (some people seem to think this is paid work, or even think PnP PowerShell comes from Microsoft).

110

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 03/04/2025

We're working on making sure that the fixes we're doing also work on earlier 7.x versions of PowerShell and work on all the platforms we support with PnP PS. So, please bear with us (we're all doing this in our free time), it will come, just not tomorrow.

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 03/04/2025

PnP PowerShell 3.0 is on it's way, but it's a taking a bit longer than we first thought. When testing PnP PowerShell 3.0 on PowerShell 7.5 we noticed some issues with app registration, which was due to the move to .NET 9.0 with PowerShell 7.5.

That's a wrap: the #MVPSummit 2025 is behind us. It's been a few years that I attended one in person, and I'm glad I went to Redmond this year. Lots of good talks, shaking hands, seeing old friends, meeting the PG members, having fun! These in-person connections and meetups are so important.

Its a great DAW. I think I have touched maybe only 20% of its functionality.

What's the oldest software (it can be updated over time) that you are still using to this date? For me it's #Steinberg #Cubase, which I started to use at the end of the 80ies of the last century on an Atari ST. I'm using that software for over 35 years to this day, on MacOS nowadays

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 18/02/2025

Absolutely true. From a maintenance perspective the current non-popup solution is much easier to maintain. It was an ugly solution (blame my coding skills :-)) internally. I posted a poll on LinkedIn and the majority voted for switching away from the popup.

110

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 18/02/2025

The popup is based upon an embedded browser. So it's already not supported on other platforms than windows (and old tech). We followed the model of VSCode here as it provides the most flexibility (it will allow automatic profile switching for instance if you have configured that in your browser).

010

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 18/02/2025

There is still some work left on the 3.0, but I hope to get it out within a month or two. Notice that you can install both 2.x and 2.99.x (=nightly build) side by side by using save-module instead of install-module.

110

Erwin van Hunen @erwinmcm.com · 18/02/2025

Yes. We decided to stop using the popup. This behavior is already implemented in the latest nightly releases.

I'm a huge fan of Scott Buckley's music. Since a while I've been making covers of those tracks to 'speak to me', and this is a compilation (warning, long video) of all the tracks I've covered of him until now: youtu.be/B0qWT691DCI #epic #music #soundtrack #free #creativecommons
