First, the combined net worth of CA billionaires is $2T, so a one-time 5% tax is $10B, not $125B. Second, the goal value of US stock markets is $75T, so $10B is 0.00013%. Third, F-em… they can afford it after spending decades buying politicians, laws, and their own tax rates and loopholes.
