5/4 to be clear I'm not anti ChatGPT, but when I visit artists' websites I can SMELL ChatGPT coming off a lot of the bios. it makes me feel a lot of pity that someone would outsource the meaning of their own artistic work to an algorithm ran by collaborators of the current United States oligarchy.

3) but maybe this isn't really a "problem", just a cruel irony that reflects the transactional nature of the market. artists don't need to be smart nor original they just need to be marketable and connect. being original can actually damage your career if your expression is alienating.

She did field work on this book by visiting ircam in 1984 and published the book in 1995. It is during the period I think of as "biofeedback music winter" which is actually more like 1976-2009 ...at least according to what got put into official histories
