I'm really happy and proud after this weekend of TOing #AgeOfSigmar! Everyone seemed to have a great time and so many people really brought their top game both on the gaming side and on the hobby side. We did an interview with winner Konstantinos. youtu.be/Z1QZKzHUkhA?...

I'm TO:ing an AoS tournament this weekend. So far, we have 22 lists submitted and they are spread out over 14 factions! That alone tells you that this game really is in a healthy place.

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 18/02/2025

Don't think I've ever had so much fun painting terrain. Tables at LotM9 will be delicious! (no, don't eat them)

000

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Running my 3d-printer 24/7 making mushroom forests from Utopia Sprawl. Really cool terrain, and well fitted for AoS4 too. There will be a couple of tables with these and their cliffs in our soon to be held tournament. Will be fun to paint!

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Picked up my 3d printer today, really excited to start the terrain production! Also looking forward to what AoS adapted STL's @sixdiceskills.bsky.social will provide

010

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

Played a game of AoS with a new army, time to open the app and sort through what rules and synergies I forgot. Great fun though! #ageofsigmar

Weren't all shades upped a bit in concentration as they got poured in smaller bottles?

Would demand GW push-fit models to be buildable without filing the pegs. Sadly they're not there yet. Could be one day ofc.

New battlescroll! Love: More heroes being eligible for inclusion in regiments. I've got loads of cool models I now can play with again. Dislike: The whole underdog mechanic is just weird and lazy balancing. Don't do more of it. #ageofsigmar #aos

Then I'll throw in "to watch Micha win worlds with Team Sweden" as my new bonus goal!

020

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

I have a whole lot of Temple of Ro-Kan stuff that I've been meaning to paint for the last seven years. It's going to be hard to match the colour schemes when I get to it :) Love that the game is still around, the people making it are great.

010

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Mainly to get all my terrain in order, I want to get it organized in tables with accompanying maps.

020

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Ah, Bushido. I used to play that alot before heading into AoS. Great little game.

Milarki.com is fucking great. I decided to do something with my unbuilt StD models and the Be'lakor I painted last year. And perhaps I'll start to win more games than I loose, won't hurt. Now I found myself writing a backstory for my Sorcerer Lord and why she's working with the Dark Master.

...doing this for free and that they really can't expect the same things as when they are paying to have people being payed. To me these interactions are different and blending them will cause confusion and perhaps sour feelings. Again, it's only the way I feel about it so I don't judge others.

It may very well be my Swedishness. To me you make a choice, either you run a business where your attendees are customers with all the both social and judicial rights that entails or you run an event as a non-profit where you don't make any money but on the other hand attendees know that you are...

Social events structured around the rules of games and tournaments is the kind of social events that is bearable for myself and many others. We can always do more, but we really should remember that we are starting from a good place.

030

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 03/12/2024

I wouldn't say it's immoral or anything, but I wouldn't do it. Compensation for expenses, absolutely, but not fees. Unless of course if you set up your events as a business, then you should pay yourself and your crew wages.

I didn't know that Slaves to Darkness would be my main army but after looking at my collection of models from "This looks cool, I'll get it just to paint" decisions apparently I have a pretty good army already. I'm lured to Chaos, litterally.

My guess, without counting more than the Swedish and Norwegian players, are an even spread of players from each country.

Games 2 and 3 ended up losses in really tight games that could have gone either way. I had my sights on 4-1, but I did do some serious mistakes in game two so it is what it is. Great opponents and great fun though, playing in a new area so lots of new acquaintances! #ageofsigmar

I'm not usually an oldhammer enthusiast, I tend to prefer modern GW models. But this Ungor is just so well made in its simplicity. All the proportions are just right and it makes it so realistic, so with the simple (and ~20-25 years old) paintjob it just looks good. To me at least!

000

Erik Sundberg @eriksund.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

Have a really messy image of the BoC army I'm getting ready for the weekend. Some minor touchups on some of the bases, and getting all the rims black, and then it's good enough to go!

Going to Norrtälje to play at Roslaget, a two-day AoS event organized by Nördhäng Norrtälje. It's their first aos 2-dayer if I'm not mistaken, and 22 players attending. Picked up Star Wars: Squadrons on Steam yesterday. How wonderful to be in a space fighter again! All those people giving bad reviews really doesn't have fond memories of playing X-Wing/TIE-fighter almost 30 years ago. I'm on something of a nostalgic overload here.
