When my son plays backyard soccer with his cousins, he genuinely enjoys (and is pretty good!) playing goalie. I'm not sure they recognize/appreciate how lucky they are, how well the dynamic works. And that's okay. 🙂

Some experiences in life are universal. They connect us all as human beings. You can sit with it, and know that it happens to everyone. Like how, every once in a while, the desert music from Super Mario Bros 2 gets stuck in your head. It happens to all of us, sometimes.

I've been full-time at my new job a few weeks now. I think today was my first rough day. Not a "I regret taking this position" sort of thing, nothing like that. But dang. Today really kicked my butt. Welp. I'll get 'em tomorrow. How's YOUR job going, anyway?
