I took this photo on my trip to NYC back in the early 80's.

Today is my 70th birthday. If there are two things I’ve learned in life they are: 1. Don't depend on other people for my happiness and: 2. Don’t try to please everyone

On this Memorial Day I honor my cousin, William H. Yount Jr., who was KIA in the Vietnam war in 1970. He was an attack helicopter pilot and a squadron leader. He was 27 years old. It was his third tour.

I know the answer to why. It's because Trump now has his own vigilante army of around 1,500 that will do anything for him (those that aren't in jail for some other offense anyway).

Dec 24th: When Trump goes to bed tonight I hope he's visited by the three Christmas ghosts.

A Christmas memory: One year I got a woman I was dating a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret. She bought perfume with it. Merry Christmas! 🎄

November 22, 1963: I was sitting in my 2nd grade classroom (circled) at Cecil Elementary School in Cecil PA when we were informed by a student courier sent out by the principal that President John F Kennedy was shot.

Veterans Day 2025 My dad was a high school All-American football player before he was drafted to serve in the 6th Army Air Corp during WW II at age 17. Despite not graduating from high school, he got a college football scholarship and went on the play a pre-season with the Steelers.

Remember when Trump wanted Canada to become the 51st state? And when he wanted to take over Greenland? And he wanted Alcatraz to open as a federal prison again? And Gaza to be a resort area? Things in the Trump presidency move on so fast. Too much for media to cover.

Not a problem. I usually only check for dupes *after* I've posted. So I'm guilty of that too (although there's no crime against it 😀).

Another way to look at it is that he died so the 2nd Amendment can live. Didn't he say that himself?

From multiple sources: Charlie Kirk "I think it's worth to have a cost of unfortunately some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the 2nd Amendment. I wonder if his wife and kids feel that way today. It's different when it's you.

Just heard Scott Jennings on CNN say it's not safe to be a Conservative right now. Did he forget about the Democrat leaders shot in Minnesota, and in their own homes? And who are "They", Scott? Who shot at Trump? It was his own people that shot at him (or planned to).

People that voted for Trump because of the price of eggs are going to experience some real sticker shock if Trumps tariffs ever go through.

Trump is threatening tariffs on Apple iPhone if they don't move manufacturing to the U.S. I heard on the radio news yesterday that that if they do iPhones will cost three times as much. Might be better if Apple CEO rode it out in China and India until Trump is no longer president.

When Trump got elected I saw an interview with a couple that came here illegally but were given citizenship under Pres. Reagan's amnesty plan. They said they weren't worried about their undocumented friends and family that weren't documented because they weren't criminals. Wonder how they feel now.
