Hi! #PortfolioDay I'm Eric McConnell. An indie comic and #sketchcard artist. I've worked for Upper Deck, Rittenhouse Archives, Cryptozoic, Perna Studios and others. Right now I'm focused on my creator owned / self-published comic, Remnant. #indiecomic #comics #comicart #art #drawing

Sketchcards completed for the DC Comics Bombshells trading card set from Cryptozoic. Six cards featuring Batwoman, Catwoman, Wonder Woman, Ravager, Starfire, and Harley Quinn.

Cover for Indie comic Remnant, issue number 3. Cover art featuring main protagonist, Aryne, with her left hand emitting magic while holding an elaborate sword in her right. She stands facing left but looking back over her shoulder. In the background to the left stands a columned temple surrounded by green and purple trees. In the background to the right, a massive fire ravages the remains of a fortress.

Several pages overlapping showing final inks for the indie comic Remnant issue five.

A preview / promo from Perna Studios of sketchard art from Eric McConnell for their trading card set "Spellcasters IV: Guardians of Light"

Day 1 for SC Comicon ended up stretching into the evening as I was working on a Dr Doom for the second day, and this morning before the crowd came in was able to crank out one more (Poison Ivy). Been a great day so far and about 1.5 hrs to go. #comicart #drawing

Sneak peek of a WIP currently on the art table. With everything happening right now, their stories are more relevant than ever…

From issue 3 of my comic, Remnant. Seems like it may be somewhat relevant these days...unfortunately. #comic #indiecomics

From Issue 3 of Remnant - the King of the Citadel orders his daughter to destroy his own soldiers and fortress to terrify the population and justify his war.

Not just superhero stories. Couple of pages here from the 4th issue of my creator owned series, Remnant. What happens when a warrior trained to destroy all forms of magic discovers she can wield it herself, and is cast out of the world she's always known? www.artofericmcconnell.com/remnant1preview

Saw this over on Threads. This isn’t a feel-good story, it’s an indictment of healthcare in the US. Did the Robotics team do something good? Absolutely. The point is they never should have needed to.

Several years ago I drew sketch cards for a Game of Thrones: Season 4 set and there were a few of my cards that were not approved at the time. HBO has now given approval so I can share. Winter is here. #GoT #gameofthrones #sketchcard #drawing #whitewalker #dragons
