My point is so very often we’re in the automobile mindset that options don’t really occur to us. Yes this works for me. There may be ways in which an alternative works for others. There are options and there would be more if people pushed for them.

I bike to work that’s normally a one hour commute with one leg on the subway. Fifteen minutes from my home to the subway station and thirty minutes through a suburban city to work. 45 minutes biking and thirty minutes on the subway. Lost 20 pounds in the first three month of doing this.

It seems to me that if there isn’t parking right in front of the store you want to get to the perception is that there is no parking. Similar to the Uber driver that needs to block traffic when they can just turn onto a side street half a block away because “there is no where to pull over.”

Wait, it’s already getting dark?! Daylight Saving is B.S. First instituted in 1908 in a Canadian town: Port Arthur, Ontario. One of the main ideas was to save coal during WW1. Canada started it…I propose we end it. The sun goes down too late in summer, and waaaay too early in fall and winter.

The reality is that governments need to build more social housing. Simply decommodifying housing isn’t going to incentivize the supply of new and affordable homes which is the actual goal here.
